If a 300lbs man hit me and caused this injury; as a concealed carry holder, I would pull and fire that is if I was still conscious.

This kind of injury does appear to fit into the SBI statute in Colorado. Also, there is a disparity of force if the guy attacking you is 300 lbs and you aren't close to that at all.

The broken bone is SBI as Colorado law defines it, and might be justification. The loss of consciousness that comes from being hit is definitely justification, unless someone really believes that Brown's assault really would have ended at that point.

Yep, you lose consciousness, and you're likely to end up with more than SBI. IF you wake up at all, you'll probably have not only gotten your ass kicked and be in the hospital, chances are, the guy also stole your gun and other police weapons (asp, OC, taser, etc.).

There are more and more reports coming out that corroborate the officer defending himself side, plus, it's very sad to hear about the officer texting his friend saying he cannot leave protective custody. Just like with Zimmerman, doesn't matter what the outcome of the investigation and/or trial is, in the court of ignorant public opinion he is guilty.
