NRA Endorses Bob Beauprez for Governor in Colorado
Fairfax, Va. – On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Bob Beauprez for Governor of Colorado.

Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Beauprez has earned an “A” rating from the NRA-PVF in the 2014 general election. An “A” rating is reserved for a solidly pro-gun candidate who has consistently supported the NRA’s position on votes of importance to gun owners and sportsmen.

“This is a critical election in Colorado for Second Amendment rights,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “Incumbent Governor John Hickenlooper betrayed Colorado voters and values when he chose to support former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gun control agenda. The Centennial State deserves a strong leader like Bob Beauprez who will govern on principle and defend freedom.”

Hickenlooper infamously drew national attention and scorn when he flip-flopped on the gun magazine ban, claiming he didn’t have the facts when he signed it into law. He also was forced to clarify a statement in which he claimed that he had not spoken with Michael Bloomberg prior to signing Bloomberg-backed gun control bills into law – a claim that was proven false by an examination of phone records.

Beauprez has a proven record of support for our individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms. He believes hunting is a valuable tool for wildlife management and an American tradition that teaches young people responsibility and respect for the outdoors. Beauprez rejects expanded licensing and registration schemes and so-called “universal” background checks, which require federal government approval for transferring firearms between life-long friends and family members.

“We can count on Bob Beauprez to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in Colorado,” added Cox. “On behalf of the NRA’s five million members, I want to thank Bob for his steadfast support of the Second Amendment and urge all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Colorado to vote Bob Beauprez for Governor on November 4.”

Will he go so far as support overturning the mag ban? or is he Pro 2A status quo?

    From his web site. http://www.bobbeauprez.com/issues

Governor Hickenlooper signed restrictive gun legislation that must be repealed.

The mag ban, and more importantly the private sale backround check BS. Both need to go, backround check more so.

I personally would rather see the mag ban go first. Both need to, just the mag ban catches me more on what I'd like to purchase.

The mag ban is totally unenforceable, and really so is the BGC, but the stupid gunowners in this state will, and already are, "self enforcing" the BGC on themselves. The check is far more dangerous, it causes a lot of guns to be put on the registration list.

Get real. There is no REGISTRATION LIST. It's been beaten to death, yet you still insist on bringing up stupid shit.

Do us a favor, go start a gun registration thread somewhere, other than in a L&P discussion about the R candidate.

It's enforceable enough to make several online distributors not sell to CO at all because they won't pull the mags from an AR or other firearm that comes from the factory with a mag over 15 rounds. I've missed out on a couple of nice deals for guns I wanted, but either couldn't be shipped to me or wouldn't be worth it since I wouldn't be able to get mags for them in the cases where I didn't get them before the ban went into effect.

Oh look, a comment from the "Great Bazzoo"!! Little Rosie Sunshine has checked in. I knew I could count on your caustic, B.S. comments. And if you really think there is no list you are a bigger dumb s*** than I thought.
