Having taken a couple of aero engineering classes in college, I can wholeheartedly say that the math for that thing would not be fun.

the six up top were launch tubes for missiles, or maybe torpedoes...

Known as the Caspian Sea Monster, the eight-engine 37.6m-wingspan personnel carrier, designed by the Rotislav Alexeyev bureau, used wing in ground effect technology to skim over water, evading enemy radar. Only one example is thought to have entered service.
