    remember seeing a show where they showed a lot of unusual aircraft... that is a pretty cool fast boat/ plane

    Having taken a couple of aero engineering classes in college, I can wholeheartedly say that the math for that thing would not be fun.

    the six up top were launch tubes for missiles, or maybe torpedoes...

    This highly-secretive Russian Cold War aircraft began life in the sixties and was uncovered by US intelligence in 1966. Known as the Caspian Sea Monster, the eight-engine 37.6m-wingspan personnel carrier, designed by the Rotislav Alexeyev bureau, used wing in ground effect technology to skim over water, evading enemy radar. Only one example is thought to have entered service.

    There are videos out there of it flying. Basically just stays in ground effect over the water. Pretty interesting design
