Gee, look what the "pro-gun" liberal scum have wrought.

Well, Dudley wanted all or nothing and got... Nothing.

Thank you Bloom..., er. I mean Brown. Sorry, sometimes I get them confused.

Incrementalism is a winning strategy. That's why the other side that employs it is winning and those on our side that refuse to use it are losing. Double whammy.

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

This is the blinding obvious, but I offer that too many of the average voters are just plain dumb and have short memories. Come October-November the whole discussion of gun-control and limitations on our 2A rights will be overshadowed by discussions on abortion and the economy. Both of the later are important, but any half-competent person elected to a position can bumble their way through a legislative session and come to some logical and legal conclusion on both those issues. Pro-gun issues need to be shepherded by people that not just empathize with gun owners, but are gun-owners themselves. This needs to be an issue on the campaign trail, and not just a secondary or afterthought.

I knew this state was lost when Hick got re-elected. He made a mockery of the population during the gun debates, used Dunlap as leverage and yet we still put him back in.

While I agree the battle win/lose is in November, I agree with you Dave, this state is lost. In fact, I'd go a step further and say it's only a matter of time before most states are lost. I'll continue to do what I can to further the Pro2a "movement", but I'm not optimistic. I won't be in this state too many more years if I can help it, fortunately I'm very mobile these days.

I still contend that the state was lost when 64 passed. We've had over 100,000 people move to Colorado in the last year. I guarantee you that most of them are coming here to smoke weed and vote D.

This was my argument against the libertarian folk here that voted for 64. I was all for pot legalization in principle (because I don't think the government should stop stupid people from doing stupid stuff) but I didn't want CO to go first and become a magnet for pot addled Bernie Sanders supporters.

November isn't going to be when Colorado is saved or lost. November is going to tell us if Colorado is already lost or if it can be saved.

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

Actually, I think RMGO got exactly what they wanted. Imagine if every gun law that passed in 2013 had been overturned yesterday. With no boogeyman, there's no fundraising.

And a different version of the military carry bill, SB 16-144 was introduced on March 4 by Sen Cooke, so it will get a second chance. His bill is different in that instead of exempting active duty military from the permit requirement, would lower the age for applying for a concealed carry permit to 18 for active duty or honorably discharged military.
