2nd choice for deer tag, guess my 1st choice has become another pref point to draw...looking forward to the season.

My fathers elk tag claimed unsuccessful in the morning then I checked in the afternoon and he got his third choice. It didn't make sense because we drew as a group and 2/3 of the group got third choice early this morning. Must have been buggy.

Got my cow elk. the wife drew both cow elk and deer(buck) and it was her 1st time in the draw.

Why would they mail a check when I paid w/ CC?

They have always mailed a check for refunds, even when paid with credit card.

I don't know why they don't allow those who put in only for a pref point to just pay the fee and be done. Seems they would save money by doing this.

The son and I both pulled deer tags, still have a long way to go before another Pawnee antelope hunt.
If anyone had any insight into private land antelope hunts I'd love to hear about it. Love, love, love me some speed goats. Call me crazy, but I love antelope steak better than elk.

Because they make a good amount of money from the interest from all that money even for that brief time. And they pay extremely reduced rates on mailing since it's government.
