I don't think the BBQ gun needs to be a revolver. As a matter of fact, the handful of times I've ever attended a function where there were guns being worn, they were almost always very ornate 1911 pistols, usually made by Colt. Revolvers tended to be ornately engraved Model 29s or something similar...an N frame at least. Though a Python would certainly be apropos. And a Taurus? Yeah...I don't think so. Maybe if they're cooking Kansas City style BBQ...and certainly not real Texans.
