I will make home cured and smoked bacon every week if it means my wife stops buying turkey facon. I know I'm fat but at least let me be happy.

turkey bacon is a poor substitute for the real thing.
Dude. At Littleton Adventist Hospital, they use turkey for everything. I had a breakfast burrito that had turkey bacon with "vegetarian green chili" this morning. The turkey bacon had the audacity to look like bacon, but it was awful. To add insult to injury, the chili was red in color and wasn't good at all.

If you really like good bacon and don't have the bandwidth to make it at home, Nueske's: https://www.nueskes.com/store/bacon/

Finding it sold as a "pound" seems to be unusual these days. Like the shrinking "pound of coffee", make sure you check the weight.

Growing up as a kid my Mom hated pork, so she bought only Turkey Bacon. It was the only bacon. Now I buy the Hormel Natural Pork Bacon stuff by the lb at Walmart. I refuse to be in the same room as someone eating Turkey Bacon.

Seventh Day Adventists are encouraged to avoid meat and many are vegetarians. Adventist hospitals would be the last place I would be looking for a BBQ.

Stop pretending its a substitute and then it finds its place, so enjoy your fried turkey strips, your soy juice, boca patties and Taco Bell, just stop pretending they're Bacon, Milk, Hamburgers or Mexican food.

Want to know an easy way to appreciate Turkey Bacon SOOO much more?

Try one of these, or just know they exist. You will suddenly like Turkey Bacon a bunch more. (Though I agree, pork bacon all the way, its a travesty these even exist).
