I’d say just above pointy stick. Every year I get an elk, I make it more challenging with the firearm. Still WAY more humane than archery or 10mm...

My interpretation went like this:

It’s not a pistol, but it is a handgun as much as any of the +14” barreled rifle caliber* single shot ‘hunting pistols’ are.

Meets every other requirement of handgun listed in any Colorado hunting publication.
