Wind is pretty crazy as others have said. The difference between looking at the fenced backyard, and the open street is crazy.

No doubt, hope I still have a fence when this is done.
    Power/lights are flickering on/off too.

Drove down to Parker this morning for a service call, was raining and the roads were empty, was doing 70 through Denver and the Tech Center on I 25 during the height of rush hour. Left Parker at 9:00 to head up to job site off of Pena Blvd and the rain was starting to change over to sleet. Got up to 225-I70 and now the wind had picked up and snow was coming down, road was still wet. Drove the last 5 miles or so up Pena and got to job site, roads were snow covered and it was blowing so hard that visibility was down to 30-40 yds at most with the snow blowing horizontally/parallel to the ground. Turned around and went back to Boulder, roads were mostly just wet once I got back to 270 again. Was behind a good accident on 36 that included 2 cars and a semi that hit the center barrier and then veering off the right side of 36 in to the ditch, roads were wet but thats about it. Coming down hard now in Boulder with an occasional flicker of lights. Should have picked up some firewood just in case.

Holy guacamole. Sitting my dispatch center near 41st & Fox in Denver. Had 2 transformers blow right next to our building. One was right outside our window. Darn near needed a fresh pair of underwear after that. Heard a third transformer blow a little further out. Currently on backup generators. Called my better half at 1st Bank. Told her to tell her boss she needs to GTFO of there and go home. 16th Street Mall shuttles are down due to power issues, trains are probably/likely to be heavily affected as well. I-70 eastbound shut down at Air Park, westbound shut down at Limon. Metric ton of flights have been canceled. Currently at southbound I-25 & 166 there is a nasty pile-up.

...now to see if our maintenance department topped off the fuel in our generators. Nothing like being essential personnel on a day like today.
