    Default Auto mag release

Interesting device, drops your mag as soon as it is empty

The time this will save you will be made up by the added time searching for your mags.

wonder if its compatible with CA mag release....would make a huge difference there.

ETA...looks like it would be, really makes sense for those with that setup

Oooooooh, and here I was hoping someone was re-releasing this:

Yeah, probably illegal in california for that very reason. If it's not right now, it will be soon, since it almost totally defeats the various "bullet button" mag change devices.

Also perhaps useful for stage-shooting competitions.

Only have to use a tool to release if the mag's not empty yet, which could also be achieved by hand cycling the bolt until the mag drops free.

Meh. It?s just another way to take control away from people. Kind of like automatic transmissions. With a manual transmission you had to know what the fuck you were doing and be good at doing it. They figured out that not everyone was smart enough or coordinated enough or just plain too lazy to deal with a standard transmission so the automatic was invented. I see this product as the same sort of thing. If you don?t want to put in the time to do things right then just use this as a crutch. Once you get used to it then have fun if you run a rifle without it and you can?t remember what to do.
