Do anybody actually know how many people actually entered the capitol building versus the number protesting outside?

Does it, should it matter? Would a specific number change what occurred today? It was a disgrace.

This type thinking is a good start for all of us. We are all in this together.

There were only a few dozen people who actually entered the building. There is a video of them flooding through the side door. Based on previous photos taken of Antifa and BLM protesters, several were identified so there were agitators in that small group of people who entered the building I watched all day from the first speech to the end of the day along with seeing several hours of footage of all the people on the capitol steps. There are probably close to a million people in DC; packed from the capitol to the Washington monument. What is being shown is the couple thousand people or so who broke off the main group and went to the capitol after the speeches ended most of which weren't doing anything at all and never tried to enter or do anything in the capitol. The narrative that police broke things up outside is BS. The people at the capitol building stayed on the steps most of the afternoon without incident. They slowly dispersed throughout the afternoon; the media isn't showing all the friendly exchanges between the police in riot gear with the Trump supporters. So it really was a few dozen people causing an issue out of hundreds of thousands of people. Of those people, I'm not really sure how many were actually Antifa, but they were definitely in there wearing trump and USA gear to hide themselves in the crowd. It's too bad some of the Trump people took the bait and went in the Capitol. Compared to the burning, looting, and violence of the riots, this is nothing; but we can count on the corporate media to really lay on the BS.

There is nothing wrong with attempting to determine facts of a situation.

The real disgrace is this election and those complicit in covering it up. There are millions of extremely pissed off people around the country. To think that every one of them is going to hold their emotions in check is unrealistic. I'm actually amazed at the restraint people are showing.

Indeed. Just like watching the BLM-esq riots, I think we're one major "trigger" event away from things going tits up. Luckily, almost everyone seems to be aware of that and show restraint despite their heightened emotions. I'm not sure how we move forward either, I just know that the toilet outright flushing and everyone killing each other based on exaggerated, microscopic differences isn't "the way".

Most of those people are oblivious to their participation in the American Communist Party and the damage being done to this nation. My brother-in-law is a good example. He is a Vietnam vet who has a mountain of national pride, but refuses to see that he is supporting people who want to destroy everything important to him (oh wait it....there is no him anymore) In reality there is very little common ground left in this country because the constitution is pretty much dead from decades of elected and appointed officials circumventing and reinterpreting it(it's become institutional and mob rule; not a constitutional republic with boundaries) I mean really; how many of my freedoms do I need to lose before it is enough?. Freedom of speech, freedom of faith and worship, freedom of movement, freedom to protect myself, freedom of self determination, freedom of property; just about everything important to me is under constant attack. People who are speaking out are censored, threatened, beaten, fired, loss of reputation. People of faith are targeted, and spend thousands in legal fees to defend themselves. The time is coming no matter how nice or dimwitted somebody may be, where it just isn't tolerable anymore. I have very little tolerance for somebody who thinks it's OK to limit or eliminate any of my constitutional freedoms.

(this is a video of when the woman was shot - not overly graphic) I don't think anyone could argue about any perceived risk to life at that moment, only property. Absolute tragedy. While capitol police have to do their job, what really bothers me is she received a capital-level punishment for what amounts to crimes against property.

Many of you seem pretty sympathetic to the one person that was shot and killed.

While death can be a tragic thing I chalk this one up to fall into the play stupid games, win stupid prizes category.

Nobody else around her was attempting to pass beyond those doors. Perhaps there was an authority figure with a gun on the other side those doors issuing a warning that anyone trying to get through would be shot and killed? Who knows. I wasn?t there.
