There's a Murphy Express on Bromley in Brighton just east of Hwy 85 that sells ethanol free. Just checked my App and it's $2.98/gallon. It's 87 octane. I've got a 55 gallon drum with an electric pump on it that I try to keep full for my lawn tractor and various motorized equipment. If things seem unstable, I also fill another 40 gallons in jerry cans. If nothing else, it makes it easy to skip the lines when panic ensues.

I?ll just gas up on Saturday.

The weather should keep a lot of people indoors so I don?t anticipate big lines at the pumps.

I get my ethanol free stuff at the Mavericks at 112th and Colorado.

Yeah, I didn't understand the rush for gas on a Tuesday for a Sat/Sun storm. Their cars aren't going to be full anymore come Sat. Wait in a super long line for gas only to have to do it again later in the week? No comprende.

Plus, if it's as big as they think it may be, they won't be driving during the storm anyway. It's not like the storm is going to sneak up on em and strand them without gas on their way home from work midweek. MAYBE during Friday rush hour. Maybe. But then filling up Thursday night or Friday morning would make much more sense.

I do however understand a running out to fill gas cans to run generators and snow blowers. Heavy wet spring snow measured in feet = potential power outages. But funny thing, I haven't seen any gas cans in any gas lines. Weird.

I go there, or the Maverick at 70 and Chambers. The generator has never seen anything but ethanol free gas or propane.

I'll fill up my van tomorrow, and maybe my Trooper. Most of my gas cans are full. I might fill my two empty ones, but I hate them so much I think I'll throw them in the trash and buy new ones instead.

The 2003 storm shaped up a lot like this one with a big difference: It had the remains of a tropical storm in the Gulf feeding it moisture. I'd be surprised if we get more than a foot. I did make sure the generator will start and run, though.

My kid says it won't even rain. I told her we'll have at least 12". I'm hoping for the full 48".

I'm going to be super disappointed when we get 10" instead of 40". I've been telling my wife all winter that I want a giant storm to hit. Maybe I'm a sick bastard, but I love huge winter storms. It's been too long.
