I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

Maybe the body isn?t his.
Maybe he killed a guy similar age, height, build, etc. and left the body to be found along with a few of his personal items.
Or maybe the people that said he couldn?t survive out there in the swamp were right.

Ready to eat crow here. I was sure that the swamp thing was a diversion. Maybe he did the only right thing left in his shitty life and saved everyone the trouble. Still, sympathies to his parents. Even more sympathies to hers.
I don't think there is much left. They didn't find the remains until the weeks long flood water receded. They called in the dogs to try to find all the pieces.

The Carlton Reserve is home to a lot of different animals. They have wildlife camera pictures of bear and hogs, as well as the ones that creep me out when I think about being out there, unable to move- turtles. Big, nasty turtles.
