Been listenin to a few folks smarter than me share their opinions, and here are the takeaways:

    1. Presidents and past Presidents typically are given a pass on most questionable matters, as a courtesy, and if a trial does occur (or being questioned before Congress, as with Nixon, Reagan, Clinton) it is a show trial with no real risk of consequences.

    2. Trump is being indicted over a number of petty matters other courts refused to pursue, and the intent appears to be making him technically ineligible to run for office again.

    3. A clear line has been crossed, now making it acceptable for ALL politicians to be subjected to witch hunts over trifling matters, and if Trump is prevented from running again, such prosecutions will become widespread and common.

Considering one is entitled to a reasonable time period for a trial. With everything bragg supposedly has, one has to ask them self. WHY is the trial date not sooner. Instead of 12/04 ?
Of course Politics has nothing to do with the charges.
IIRC even a NYT poll has 76% saying it's politically motivated. That's real high, considering the NYT and it's subscribers are fairly entrenched in the Trump For Prison crowd.

    Default Eminent Domain?

The .gov has outgrown the building they have in NYC and have decided they want the Trump Tower. This is how they do business. You can say I am delusional and crazy. But you now know the rest of the story...

Define the "clear line" that has been crossed.

Stand by for the best, most amazing, beautiful rebuttal you'll ever hear. It will be huge, staggering, absolutely unbelievable.

It's a measure of the civility in this country that no ones seems to fear constantly pissing off the people who own lots of guns.

Same shit we have all heard over, and over, and over, and over again from him. Same stuff, different day. Same tone, same attitude, same voice inflexions etc.

check out The Puzzle Palace, by James Bamford. It’s an old book and overwritten, but interesting.

Seriously? You don't see a problem with this prosecution?

Personally, I have a problem with a DA who runs his campaign based on a promise to indict a former president. Or anyone else for that matter. The same DA who releases violent felons from jail or who lowers their bond to ridiculous amounts and who doesn't prosecute violent felons with the same zeal in which he pursued Trump over trivial stuff that no one else would prosecute. A DA who runs an office that allows leaks from the Grand Jury deliberations...when these matters are supposed to be, and always have been, secret.

The list goes on and on. I'm no big Trump fan and even I see real problems with this.

But this goes far beyond Bragg's office. Bragg is a minor player in a party that has weaponized government and law enforcement against republicans and conservatives. Like Comey and the FBI...you have a (former) FBI director admitting HRC (who also admitted to committing felonies...because she obviously knew she was immune from prosecution) committed felonies and then stating no prosecutor would take the case. That's not his job to decide.

Our federal government and many state governments are out of control. Bragg is a symptom of the problem.

This is nothing more than political retribution on a grand scale.

Even worse than the democrat behavior is the fact they're basically forcing republicans to retaliate or risk never winning office again. If republicans don't start playing the game it's gonna be over for them...because democrats sure as hell aren't gonna stop on their own. They've proven that time and again.
