    Default Got ripped off

Bottom line is we got ripped off with $70 on a Craigslist adL Ok not a lot of money but still as irritating as hell!

Can I report this to the cops and give them the cell # of the person? Or will they just laugh at me?

Or I was wondering if anyone here can do a reverse number lookup on a cell phone # then I can pay them a visit or just give the address to the cops?

Or should I just forget it, write off the $70 and stop being so trusting/naïve with/of people?

    Cheers.

Report them to the police but don't expect anything to come from it (the reason to report them is because if they get a bunch of complaints about the same person THEN they'll maybe do something about them).

Then file a complaint...let the FBI handle it!

Yeah how did this happen? Did you ship something? All CLs transactions should be done in person in a public area. If dealing with large bills, use one of those counterfeit pens

I got ripped off once. Bought a 'new' blackberry, sure it was new but reported as lost/not delivered so blocked by verizon.
$160 lesson though I turned around and sold it to a company online that buys broken/used phones. think I got back $40 there.
oh well. it happens. live and learn. though pick a good wife otherwise youll be in a much deeper hole

My wife has some horse ‘boots’ for sale.

Buyer turns up and buys the first pair with cash but calls later asking if they can try the other size for the horses back feet. They turn up with no cash but my wife lets her take the second set on the agreement that she’ll either return them if they don’t fit or bring the cash.

Guess what no return and not answering their cellL

Give it some times. It might be just a misunderstanding. Phone broke down, lost etc, family emergency etc.

Call off the dogs. When you make a decision like this you make a decision that the item isn't worth anything to you because you have to be alright with the fact that you may not ever see any money. That's on your wife unfortunately. I agree with the thought that you need to be patient because if they already paid then likely they plan to pay for these too as agreed. Sometimes life gets in the way of plans. For future reference don't give things away that you don't want to give away and this won't happen. Sorry if this seems brutally honest but someone has to be the voice of reason.
