That is good to hear, we might be visiting Brave Church soon.

My Lutheran Church didn't mention Charlie Kirk's name once last Sunday. Not during pre-service, not during the sermon, nor during the Prayers of the Church. Mentioned 'the assassination' once during the prayers though.

I heard from the senior pastor after I submitted a prayer request for his family for this Sunday...that he felt that they covered 'the assassination' last week.

I met with a junior pastor on Wednesday....I thought that the discussion went well, but am wondering after crickets since then.

I'll see about the temperature after 7am Men's bible study tomorrow/Saturday morning...

Calvary Castle Rock talked about it on Saturday's Service, Brave had the memorial, but I've heard several area church pastors avoided it, which I just can't understand. Of course, since we are "behind the lines" here, there is fear.

Victor Marx announced he might run for Colorado Gov - didn't know much about him, but he'd be a major upgrade over the current IMO.

Pastors refusing to discuss the murder of a Christian voice is unacceptable but falls in line with the watered down preaching too many are given to offer these days. They're more concerned with maintaining a large congregation and filling the tithe box than they are of actually preaching the Word of God with any conviction. People are starting to notice this now after the Kirk slaying and many folks are looking for new church homes.

I still don't know much about Victor Marx, but I did see a video he posted recently about how one of his daughters was assaulted and how they'd caught the perpetrator. Not clear on whether or not he's a pastor, but he is involved with Christian ministry. Considered a "master" in various forms of martial arts and a former Marine, this guy seems to know how to handle himself. These are good skills if he plans to run for CO governor as I think he'll be painting a target on his back. I greatly appreciate what I've seen of his values but the left (and even many on the right) will feel he's a threat.

According to BallotPedia (https://ballotpedia.org/Colorado_gub...lican_primary) ), there are currently 17 individuals (without Victor Marx) listed as GOP candidates for the 2026 governors election. Hopefully, most of these peter away long before we reach primary season. Before Victor Marx showed up on my CO political radar, I had been looking at giving Jason Clark my vote. I think either of these candidates would be good strong choices to get CO back to where we need to be. [Disclaimer: Unless we can get some control back in the state legislature, a conservative governor would see limited success in correcting the course of this state).
