I think the HF tumbler would work but it is a small one. I have gone a different direction. My first clean is in a vibrator the old fashion way. Then I decap/size and trim. After I use an ultrasonic cleaner for 10 min or so. This seems to clean the pockets and insides very well.
I see you running, tell me what your running from
Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

Do yourself a favor and get the Thumblers Tumbler. They are worth it.
The biggest downside I see to stainless steel media is drying the brass and you can only do small batches.
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
I've been looking seriously at this too, small batches would be ok for me, but still would like to do larger batches. I am looking into building my own tumbler.
If you look at this tumbler on ebay, its just made of PVC Water pipe, one cap, one reducer, rubber cap to seal it off. Motor and A couple of pullies.

So I'm still thinking about this, but I can get my brass pretty spiffy looking with normal vibration, corn cobb and some cheap car polish. So I'm not sure its worth the investment for what I can get in return?
i too been looking at it or buying the Dillon 2001 large bowl for just corn cob and walnut. i have read that you really need a true tumbler not the vibrating one we are so common to use with corn cob and walnut as the weight of the water and steel burns out most units and or isn't water proof!
same as OP link is what i have found i too am curious! the videos on there aren't bad!

In case you haven't seen it yet (I assume many have), just about all the info and discussion you'd ever want on this topic (27 pps worth):

Someday I'll pull the trigger on this as well. Logistically, it's not the best for my set up running a wet process. Hard to argue with the results though. The samples shown look like new brass.
Meh. I've found that no matter how shiny I get the brass, it's still gonna tarnish again, even in storage. Not sure it's really that big a flippin' deal.

So, I built a tumbler this weekend for using this stainless steel media. I haven't purchased the media yet, but did a trial run with my home built tumbler. (testing it)
Pint or two of water, little dish soap, 40 brass and some steel BB's for an air gun. Just for fun. After about an hour, the brass hadn't changed much, it was previously polished in my vibratory polisher. But the water was YUK! All the crap that came out of the inside of the brass. Just nasty.
I'll post a pic of the tumbler tomorrow. I'll see about ordering some of the stainless media in the near future and we'll see how it does.
