heh I was gonna say that earlier but I didn't want to discourage him.

those snus paks are ok, tried them for a while. taste good but made my throat sore, and don't deliver nearly the buzz that cigs do.

hang in there spleify, when you get a crave chew some gum and do 20 pushups!

(I have no idea if that works, but it's worth trying, no?)

I got hypnotised(spelling on purpose) by a friend who was an addiction councilor. He just happened to be an ex-LEO who got addicted to herion. He worked in one of those small twons back east that had a tremendous drug problem, to say the least.

He did it once and I ain't picked up a cig on over 15 years with no problems since that afternoon...

Maybe you should take up a hobby. Maybe shooting or firearm collecting or something.

    Just saying.

I admire those that can quit cold turkey. I've been using e-cigs to quit a week or two at a time but then there's moments when I want the real thing.

My son is 13 months now and I feel like a chump for not being able to stick to my commitment to quit for him.

I quit cold turkey. I tried the step down method, I smoked 2 packs of non filtered camles a day back in 1990. Had been doing that for 5 years. So I tried the filtered, then the light, then the ultra light, etc. Just kept smoking 3 packs of that crap to try to get the same buzzz!

Finaly said FFF IT. No more. It was very hard. But I did it!! And now once I got my sence of smell back. I can smell a smoker a mile away! Not to mention, I hunt and I can smell when the Elk are close in rut. Etc.

Good Luck! Best thing I ever did!!

I quit 6 months ago after smoking 36 years. Nothing helped me. I did find that if I took a walk and drink lots of water that helped me. I still have my good days and bad days but I am determined to stay cigarette free. I bought a para ordnance 40 S & W with the money I saved. I named the gun winston,

I'm sitting outside having a beer with my brother. He's chain smoking pretty much. Thought about asking to bum one but instead I pulled out my phone and re-read this thread.
