all equated to screwing the American production community right out of a job.

I find it amusing that the construction union is hiring illegal immigrants to hold up their "SHAME ON (insert name here) LABOR DISPUTE" signs downtown.

But back to the original topic, I'm not standing in a line like that for any reason.

It will make you look large since all their furniture is 7/8 scale.

One thing they make well: CFL bulbs. The GE (or Sylvania) ones from Lowes and HD are shit. I've not burned out an Ikea one yet (4+ years on a few of them). I'll never buy CFL bulbs from anywhere else.

I have about six of their mini halogen lights. They work great above the work benches. Even have a couple above the reloading bench. Beyond that, I'm a IKEA newb.

Frankly IKEA can go fuck themselves. I'm siding with ol' Jake Jabs on this one. IKEA is all foreign manufactured and owned by a company that is a non-profit. They pay no taxes in the United States. They sell mainly to pretentious women like my sister in law. No offense to you guys buying from em it's just not for me. I'm spending my money where I hope it stays here. Once again no offense and hope you find some rocking deals.

I cannot stand CFL bulbs let alone full size flourescents. Those things give me a headache and it's bad enough that I get migraines from the arthritis in my spine. I will use LED's before using CFL's.

Mexi Coke made with sugar is so much better than what we have in the US, but you need to be careful because a few Mexican Coca-Cola bottling plants switched to corn syrup. I got burned a couple weeks ago because I didn't read the label.

I am not going to get into politics nor local and/or macro econ w/ poltical involvement, but I will take IKEA over AFW anytime.

Thank freakin' god we FINALLY have a competitor over AFW. Still have Ikea products from late 90s, and it is in perfect working cond.

ETA: I am going to IKEA tomorrow. I will save tons of $$$ over some other local furniture dealer. No need to deal with reds.
