Job Killing Illegals

My parents insure a ton of contractors, and when ever they need work, they always try to give business to the people they insure. Every time they hire white guys, the job is usually crap though. Kind of funny. They had a deck built and it was total shit. The Mexican carpet guys that came out to carpet it ended up fixing the messed up stairs the white guys hacked together for free.

I'm not trying to to stir the pot, just sharing the unique experience.

Here's something I've learned over the years...

Skilled labor isn't cheap and cheap labor isn't skilled.

we fired our housekeeper last week. She mentioned to my wife that she was here illegally. She seemed surprised when I told her why I was letting her go...

She did a nice job, but at $75 a week in cash, I'd rather it go to an United States Citizen

I never said that they didn't speak English, just that they weren't white.

I think the list was only a few instances.
The terrible deck build.
The concrete parking lot that wasn't sealed.
The plumber that fixed a leak by putting a bucket under it.

On the other hand, the networking guy, the hot tub guy, the computer guy, and the landscaper were all great, and white. Is that better?

I am a legal immigrant. Here is an idea to deter illegal immigration. When we deport an illegal, we search for his/her asset and confiscate the monetary value equals to the cost of deportation itself. The American tax payer should not be footing the bills for deporting these people who is likely to come back crossing the border in short time anyway. Forfeit their asset and use the money for deportation purposes.

My sister in law went way out of her way to hire americans to install her deck in Westminster. You would think for a deck build running 17k she could have gotten a decent job. The deck looked like shit and it all came down to workmanship. The guys doing it screwed up more materials than they used.

This thread was a big let down for me. I was updating my resume before I opened i tto find out it wasn't a job opening.
