Oh hell, I think you all are missing the point of mail in ballots. First you mail in your ballot and then go and vote on election day as well. I have heard a few people talk about this and it pisses me off.

You should offer to take the ballots of your Democrat family members to the post office for them ... more secure than leaving them in the mail box ya know.

That is the best, most sensible, idea I've heard in a long time. I think I'll start a community service.

I did the best of both worlds. I got my mail-in ballot last week, thought about each and every vote (including researching the judges) before sealing it this weekend and personally dropped it in the C&R's box just before lunch.

I've had bad experiences before with USPS: my 1996 ballot was received with plenty of time to spare, and sent in (using the local post office's drop slot) almost as soon as I got it. It took the local post office (located 1.5 miles from my townhouse at the time) 3 weeks to then deliver that ballot back to me (despite the ballot saying deliver HERE not THERE). I drove back over to the post office, emphasized the delivery address and mailed it again -- only to receive it back again, this time from the COLORADO post office only 1 day before the election. Good thing that election wasn't a squeaker like this one.

I dropped mine in the ballot box at County building for Broomfield. They started early voting. The nice lady pointed me to the nice green box then gave me a sticker Yeah!

Sunday was the day for the Family talk about what is on the ballot. Most were easy but the MIL was so confused about a few things.

Here in El Paso county they want to extend the "Temporary" road building tax that they promised in 04 would be temporary

They like to use the words "No new taxes" when they used the words "Not Permanent" to get us to vote on it the first time. I guess they think we are stupid. If they would have completed 50% of the projects they promised that would happen the first time I might go along with it.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

I went along with 1A but drew the line on 5A. Think about the projects they're taking credit for and ask yourself if you really want more of that. Woodmen/Academy overpass? Needed but horrendous design and poor execution. Union/Austin Bluffs overpass? Were they all on MMJ prematurely when they did that design? At the end of the day, 0.5% sales tax is a small enough gradual bite to be just about unnoticeable but I just don't think PPRTA deserves extension based on past performance.

I voted today- in person of course! Thank God for that early voting so I could get it out of the way...
And for Jeffco- I highly recommend if those of you who have yet to cast your votes (GO ROMNEY! Obviously), just say NO to 3A and 3B, trust me, it's a big tax increase... And I did vote Yes on Amendment S, and no to 64 and 65.
Now, get out there and exercise your patriotic duty and VOTE!
