In 2004/2005, the Difference between a Dodge 2500 and 3500 was three things. A single leaf overload spring/stop, an emblem, and a GVWR door sticker. Period. That does not make one ride rougher than the other.

Also in 2005, the Dodge used the same axles as Duramax, so I guess they're all junk. Haven't shopped one since I bought my 2004.5 so I can't say what axles are in them now, but any blanket statements, just like gun facts, should be taken with a grain of salt and factor into your own research.

Using your own link, the Tundra shows 10,400 lbs.
The others are a different class of truck.

Don't forget, they are required to report the amount of domestic sourced parts as well as where they are assembled. Nothing will have 100% domestic sourced parts but you can at least compare what has more.

I spent some time in a 2500 HD recently and came to really like it. Didn't pull anything, just tooled around AK. Nice ride. Nice interior and I like the looks.

A different class than a diesel, but I have a Tundra and love it. With the tow package it can pull some shit with ease.

it was just thrown in there for shits and giggles because it was mentioned just like the x5, the op wanted info on a truck that could haul a real trailer anyway, so that puts them both out of the running.

This is the best way to buy a vehicle. Figure out the vehicle you want. All the bells and whistles you want and everything. Then email all the dealerships in the area stating that 1 you will be buying in x amount of time 2 you want x vehicle with y options 3 one of the dealers on the email list will be getting your business if they can beat out the rest on the price.

Make sure you CC everyone, not blind CC. You need to make sure hey see you emailed the other dealerships. Also make sure you email a person. Typically each dealer will have an "internet" salesman.

Or just search autotrader.com nation wide and fly and bring it back over a weekend. Super easy.
