ETA: Down to 6868 as of 1:44pm.
I would have to say- it f***ing better get under control if they pass a universal checks bill... otherwise this state will be hell on earth, imagine the wait time going up to a month because of all the pending checks... I imagine CBI would be overloaded all the time.

I don't think we will ever see that short of wait again. This situation has allowed "them" to run an experiment to see how long people will put up with for a background check. I see it coming back down to 48 hours but not much shorter. Just my .02.

you are assuming that dealers will be willing to do $10 transfers. Most charge much more than that now.

    I've never seen $10... I've seen $25, 50, 100... Yep, this is gonna suck.

I know of no dealers near to me that will do a transfer for $10. Plus that $10 will go to the CBI + whatever your dealer charges. Thus if they charge $10 and your dealer does $50 transfers, you'll have to pay $60 just to sell your gun to your neighbor.

You mean your neighbor will have to pay $60 to buy a gun from you!

Seriously though, the whole idea of UBCs is stupid.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

The CBI took a beating yesterday in the hearing. The attorney who helped write the law accused them of corrupt activities and cited the Federal law they were breaking. The Committee Chair wanted the head of CBI brought back into the hearing. He never showed.
