Thanks Jim - you can never leave it alone. Bob built that place from the ground up and his health declined over the last several years until decided to sell it when his health became so bad, it was the only way. He had many offers from interested buyers and sold to John so that his "baby" and his employees he cares so much about would do well. But yeah, you're right -its better off without him. Real nice. He is moving away to spend the time he has left (not so long according to his cardiologists) in peace. Why dont you keep your comments about him to yourself.

Bob while a nice person was / is his own worse enemy. Paranoid ,never got over his east coast attitude, on & on & on. Those who saw that side of him know. Then there was the, here this is my cost if you want it.

    Updated since transition period

Now that the Old owner is gone and having been in there during the transition period. I dropped by this morning to browse. Definitely a different vibe and overall attitude. No yelling, shitty attitudes or well you know.

I may as well throw my Jensen experiences in here as well. I've only been doing business with them for about six months, and only two firearm transactions. Both transactions were great, but one in particular is worth mentioning. My wife and I had been browsing around for a 1911 (my wedding gift), nothing super expensive, but not bottom of the barrel either, $1,000 is what we were trying to keep it around. We stopped in at Jensen's and I stumbled across a Springfield champion operator, a pistol I've always wanted. The Springfield didn't surpass the budget, so unbeknownst to me, while I was drooling elsewhere, my wife talked to the young man behind the counter, and asked him if he could hold it for her until she got paid, which was three days away. He talked to his manager, and said even tho they don't normally hold anything without a deposit, since it was for our wedding, they'd do it. I knew non of this until later on, but I must give huge props to Jensen's, and to top that off, they give realtime updates on Facebook, as they get items in. Big plus one!

It's gotten better and continues to do so, I can honestly say that I've been very happy with my dealings with them both now and over the last 3 years. But yes, there's a much more friendly vibe in the store these days. Service is excellant and IMO the only thing that is high priced is the ammo, and considdering that the replacement costs can be REALLY high for it right now. I'm fine with that. IMO unless you're willing to pay an inflated price, you should have stocked up pre-election. I managed to pick up a BCG there on Presidents day for pre-insanity pricing, along with a few other goodies. IMO, they've done better at keeping prices regular than any other shop I've heard of and I really appreciate that. Going to keep doing business with them as long as they keep up the good work.

I just visited the new Jensen Arms today.
I had to go to Loveland for stuff, and I just decided to drop by.

Very nice selections of all sort.
-Tons of Safariland duty/tac stuff on the right, and concealment holsters.
-Entire section for Streamlight and Surefire lights.
    -Supressors and firearms.
    -friendly staff.

It was more open (in terms of space) than a old Jensen Arms near that Mediterrarenian restaurant.
My baby girl was having a blast there as well.

    I hate Jensen's.

I went in there last night to pick up a few boxes of 22LR with my wife, and while browsing around the store, John made me a great, spur-of-the-moment offer on any rifle on the shelf. While the rifles were a little out of reach, he mentioned he did have a couple M&P Shields in stock, as he had just received a decent order earlier in the day. Fully expecting over-inflated pricing due to the current market environment, I was shocked as hell when he said the price was only $394. SOLD. They waited a few minutes after closing for my background check to clear so I could take it home with me instead of coming back. Super friendly folks while we waited, just a damn nice vibe in the store.

I walked in there expecting to spend $15 on a couple boxes of ammo, but because of their damned friendly attitude & fair prices, I happily walked out with a new pistol.

Yeah, I hate Jensen's. (not!) They are now my go-to gun store. No reason to go anywhere else.
