I've said it before and I'll say it again. You can't possibly be pro-gun and vote democrat. You've just proved that. Furthermore, you keep trying to convince someone, maybe us or maybe yourself, that gun rights/ownership is a non-partisan issue. Absolutely not true. All you have to do (and you should've done it already...you wouldn't have made a fool of yourself if you had) is look at the voting records on the most recent 4 bills. Look at how the dems voted vs republicans (hint: 0 republicans voted for any of the bills). Then try to convince me again this isn't a partisan issue.

No Bailey I am not trying to convince you that it is a non partisan issue. I am trying to make it become a non partisan issue. Because that is the best long term solution to me. I want both parties to support the 2nd.

Both parties supporting the 2A would be great. But democrats don't. Look at the democrat party platform. I applaud your change of heart, though. You gotta start somewhere.

been alot of arguing in this thread that isn't necessary.

It comes down to nynco is a (D) gun owner who just got bent over with the rest of us. He has stated he'll vote R (or at least not D would be my guess, greens probably fit other issues well) for the near future until our elected officials get the point. That is EXACTLY what is needed to make them get the point. Elections are 2014 and when CO turns deep red the gun message will be heard loud & clear. We are the test case after all.

Primaries are spring 2014 (?), If these folks get replaced then the message will be even louder. It is one thing to lose the election over an issue. It is quite another thing to be replaced by your own party over it.

The children. It's a zero sum game, but at least we can eat.

Agreed Merl. That about sums up exactly where I am and exactly what I will work for next.

You side is the one who keeps poking. Maybe you should open your eyes and change side.

Everyone wonders why the term "stupid liberal" is so redundant.

I think I will effect more change by being inside rather than condemning from the outside.

Dang nyco, you got a face full of it Bro... I'll give you props for courage though - I've been done with the DemonRats Party for quite a long, long time. They went after the 2nd in 1994 and that was it for me. My family is of Latino heritage, and was always DemonRat (and Catholic) by heritage (not sure why).

After 1994, I was dead set against the DemonRats (was never registered as one, thank God, just middle of the road and independent, but hey, I was young).

The DemonRats are all about taking our 2nd Amendment rights, to be followed by the rest of them. I AM a single issue voter for the most part, but I have to say, after 26 years of voting, I can't find anything the DemonRats believe that I personally can believe - don't trust them, and honestly believe they are the reason for the decline of our nation. Yes, I said it.

But hey, we're all young once . Hats off to you for having the courage to even bring this up - and WELCOME to the Freedom Party.
