I've been putting off getting a C&R for years. Just what I need, the ability to buy MORE old guns, even cheaper, and shipped right to my door with no FFL bullshit. Christ, I can't store, carry, shoot or take care of the ones I already have. If I could buy Mosins from Sarco or J&G for under $100 and have 'em shipped right here? Fuuuuucccckkkkk........

Irrelevant to Curios & Relics license, since the copy to the CLEO is information only. It does not require their permission.

If you are really planning on getting a C&R license, I'd apply for one as soon as you can. One of these days our Representatives in D.C. would like to make it much more difficult to obtain one.

The process I followed to obtain my C&R is below. If you have need any help just shoot me a PM.

    1. Order ATF form 7CR (5310.16) from the ATF distribution center http://www.atf.gov/forms/dcof/ or download it from http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/at...16-notice.html
    2. Order ATF form 5330.20 Certificate of Complaince from the ATF distribution center above or download from the link above
    3. Complete both forms.
    4. Send the Copy 2 of the 7CR in the mail to your CLEO with a letter stating this is just for his/her reference as required by federal regulation and no action is required
    5. Mail Copy 1 with a check for $30 and the Certificate of Compliance to the address on the form
    6. Receive Type 03 C&R FFL in 6 -8 weeks

Interestingly, C&R guns are excluded from the ban on sales of private firearms bill in Colorado at its current draft.
