Let them close it. Then we have a valid constitutional argument for deprivation of rights. With the "loophole", 99% gun dealers won't release it for civil liability anyway. The sole reason the 3 day exemption exists is to theoretically deny the constitutional argument, while in practice not actually existing as a real "loophole", letting them infinitely delay checks whenever they so desire. 2012 was 11 days+ around christmas if memory serves.

It will be very bad political moves for democrats.
Those first gun buyers who are Democrats probably got very frustrated from their first buying experience.
Hope that alone can swing small numbers to Republican.
