Vehicle registration?

I have a RV that has collectors plates. I need to do emissions for some reason. But it expired last year. If I try to register it will they waive those fee's that they slap on for being late?

Fuck no they will not. I needed a temp tag on a trailer to move from CO -AZ. MV said well since it's not been plated for 5 years. You owe us (iirc) close to $600, between late fees, 5 yrs registration etc.

Went back to place that sold me the trailer. He asked. You need another temp tag? Sure how much? No charge . Handed him $50 just because. Fuk CO and their tax, tax, tax mentality

I traded in a vehicle back in February. Ordered plates online, which was simple. However, there was no way that I could figure out how to get pro-rated for my trade-in and re-use those plates. So I ate the whole thing and received new plates in the mail a few weeks later.

Still amazes me that the state can do pretty much everything else they want to do under the guise of "but muh corona" . . . but they can't just say "you know what--we're waving emissions tests for March/April/May, so just send in your renewal without it."
