    Updates?

I have a buyer who wants to transfer
Can buyer initiate a background without seller and I can just show up with firearm when buyer gets approved?

You can meet and initiate the process. FFL takes posession until buyer passes. Once FFL has it in their books sellers job is done. Get paid and go home.

If it's someone you dont know I'd have them sign a paper saying if they fail Bgc they forfeit payment and you go back to FFL and pick up the gun.

    Thanks for the input.

This is more complicated process than shipping it to a different state.
Last one I did was ffl told buyer to pay seller and do background. If buyer some how fails bg, they said it is between FFL and buyer.

Default 17Hr CBI wait times today...

Maybe 2 ARs and one AR pistol left at Scheels. Beginning of the year they had about 40 in the cage.
    It warms my heart.

Then are you expected to have to fill out a 4473 to reclaim your own firearm AND wait for the Background Check?

Happened to me once. I was PISSED! Had to pay for the check to get it back, too.

^ that is what I am afraid of.

I will probably tell the buyer that I won't be leaving my firearm with FFL.

Take buyers money, leave thier new gun at FFL.

If they fail BGC, its between them and the FFL. You have your money, move on.

Yup that is what I did on last transfer. I will tell the buyer that or I would rather keep my firearm.

Crazy FFL holding my firearm for 3 days(place known for breakins) is crazy, but paying for it to get my own gun back will drive me insane.
