When someone we know says something happened to him, and a new guy asks if it really happened to him, that usually gets people to wondering, "Who the hell does this guy think he is?"

In other words, if he said it happened, it happened. Casting doubt on his word is not the best way to introduce yourself. Just sayin'.

I never once insinuated it that way though. I was just floored that actually happened. I've been a victim of indian-giving, take backsies, and all that but that story just was like "dude! seriously.. did that just happen?!" Honestly never heard a story about a deal going sour like that and I'm naturally uber curious so I was asking cause it's straight messed up. I do apologize if that's the vibe you (and/or anyone else for that matter) pulled from the context but that was NOT what I meant by my question at all. My question was purely inquisitive and genuine. I never asked to cast doubt in any way..
