Nothing out here in Montrose! Got just a little rain/snow mix early morning and all dry and sunny now.

That 114 route is a pretty drive and a great alternative to Monarch mountain. We usually see lots of wildlife on that road.

Thanks gents. Forgot about CDOT cameras. Taking the suburban with Duratracs and a set of chains. Plus warm stuff for just in case.

14” in my yard in Centennial, 3 big branches broken off the one big tree in the backyard plus 2 really big ones from my neighbor that just missed my porch roof. He’ll clean them up Saturday.

My wife says the snowflakes coming down in Thornton right now are huge.

We ended up with 40". Eldora got 49" but a 6WD grader went off the road so they can't open until tomorrow.

How long did the drive take?

Total about 7 hours, but I was stuck behind a plow near Blue Mesa and stuck behind a stack of timid ill-equipped drivers through the canyon.

Also for Erni, CC area to Salida was wet and not snow-packed yesterday afternoon. 285 gets a lot of attention from plows, and the next few days will all be above freezing. I think good common sense and AWD/4WD will get you anywhere on a US or state highway.

A view at the front entry, and a measure next to the shovel.

This storm is difficult to judge since the snow starts auto-compacting immediately after falling. Folks probably received significantly more than what is shown being measured.

Agree with 445. It looked like 3-4? on my driveway but was solid wet mush. I ran the snow thrower even though it would plug frequently.
