Some examples would include mid-2000's 997 Porsche 911s, about 95% of all Ferraris, etc... Granted the money for the ticket if you own one of these is no big deal, but if I did own one it would be a matter of principal dammit!

Exactly... my mom had a 1950 Plymouth Coupe and you couldn't put a gun to her head to drill into the original front bumper. There should be exceptions, but my money is that they're too stubborn to accept case by case basis exceptions to the rules.

Back with the red light camera stuff, a friend of mine got a ticket with a nice picture of him behind the wheel of his wife's car- the ticket? "Over the line while stopped at a red light." ??? He was stopped, didn't run the light, no his tire was a few inches beyond the white line and bumper partially in the crosswalk! OMG! Cost: $75.00. Bullshit if you ask me...

I have a ummmm "friend " that got a couple of these over the years. He just wadded them up and tossed em, and "he" never heard from them after the fact.

Ok, I know it's an old thread but instead of creating a new one I'll just post here.

I also have a friend who got the camera ticket for turning right on red without full stop.
They mailed him a ticket two times and after not seeing any kinda response from him they tried to serve him one but he didn't open the door.
So one day my friend comes home and finds a little note on his door from the post office, the little "sorry we missed you" note that says there was an attempt to deliver a letter from Aurora PD with signature required...
It also says that my friend has 15 days to claim that letter at the post office before it'll be send back to Aurora PD...
    Any advice for my friend?

Don't pay it unless you got served in person. Between my office and my house we have 2 of those cams, I have plenty of those tickets.

Tickets in Colorado must be served to you within 90 days by an authorized person. Beyond the 90 days, no tickets, no collections, no nothing.

DON'T PAY IT UNLESS THEY SERVE IT LEGALLY.
