and that's how the law reads too? like you are allowed to use deadly force if you witness sexual assault? or if you witness it on a family member?

upon another person in order to defend himself or a third person in order to defend

assault as set forth in section 18-3-402 or 18-3-403 as it existed prior to
July 1, 2000, or assault as
defined in sections 18-3-202 or 18-3-203.

yep, any DA in their right mind won't try to charge the dad. If they do not only will they lose the case, but they will lose their career over it as well.
