Ran a 100 rounds of Freedom Munitions FMJ and JHP 9mm ammo through my M&P Pro without any issues. Loading the magazine seemed a little different compared to my 1911.
The M&P will need Apex's forward set sear and trigger kit to get closer to my 1911.
Couldn't do much on accuracy given the typical poor lighting at the indoor range and not having my reading/shooting glasses with me. Despite that, most of the hits were about on inch low at 6 o'clock on the bullseye shooting at 15 yards. Blame crappy sight picture for that.
Overall, good piece of gear.
+1 for FSS it improves all aspects of the trigger. Hated the hinge and the mushy feel in my pro. I hated the MP when I first bought it. I was a glock guy. I never could hit anything with my glocks but I loved them. Went to MP to 1000 rounds or so but I am a hard core convert MP is more accurate the any glock I have ever owned. The ergo of the grip and controls just feels more natural and fits better. Love em I quess is what i am saying. Hinged trigger is still stupid though.
Any of you guys ever switch from XDM to M&P? What are your likes/dislikes comparatively
I compared both the XDM Competiton and M&P Pro in 9mm before settling on the M&P.
I was looking for a 5" or greater barrel with fiber optic front sight, which both provided.
What swung me to the M&P Pro was ergonomics, just fit in my hand better and lower bore axis compared to the XDM Comp.
Price on the M&P Pro was also cheaper.
What tripped the scale for me was the fit.
Just picked this up and ran over to the range.
Wow! What a sweet girl!! I'm hooked.
First 10 trigger pulls. First one was a flyer, corrected and it was on. Very happy with the first run. Look forward to getting some more rounds down range.
