I just got off of the phone with Don, the organizer about the possibility of speaking. He said it is doubtful as they have a full schedule.
He also said this thing has gone huge, much more than he ever expected.

A few of us are meeting in the Cherry parking lot on the Auraria campus.

Auraria is a bit far down. I'm planning on taking the lightrail to 16th and California. There's a Starbucks at Republic Plaza over at 16th and Tremont I was gonna grab something to drink at, around 1130.

Looks like my wife will be dropping me off and picking me up. I will have room for a couple of more peeps especially if you're willing to sit in the back of Lexus RX350/SUV. I'm in Thornton near 120th and Holly if you're interested in getting a ride with us. I should have room for four or five depending on if my daughter decides to attend. Attention CCW update, State Capitol - I am about to make a bunch of you real happy. I just got off the phone after talking at length with Capt Holland, Highway Patrol, and we discussed the desire by a lot of people to carry concealed on the Capitol grounds. I related to him that many of the attendees desire to carry concealed on the Capitol property. Capt Holland stated that if everyone that wants to carry concealed will conceal their guns well enough that it cannot be detected that it will be permissible to carry concealed. This means that the weapon must be undetectable and secured tightly. If everyone will abide by this requirement, they can carry concealed. This was per Capt Holland. Now, I have done everything I can do to please everyone that has contacted me in one form or another. So the bottom line is if you want to carry concealed, please do so. Ensure when you are getting in and out of your vehicles that the gun is not visible. I appreciate everyones feelings and have tried to accomodate everyone. Now, no one needs to stand across the street and everyone can attend. DD

Well with the new update about CCW (that CSP Capt sounds pretty cool), I guess I'm going in instead of being one of the 'cross the street fellas. I'm still probably going to park over at 13th & Grant (I have a friend who lives over there). I can meet up with everyone parking at Auraria anywhere you guys want (I do not mind walking to the other side of the park to meet)... It would be nice to go in as a group, representing this community.

Yeah, I'll make my way over a bit more when I get down there with this change, but I'm still going to back off if it gets too big or crazy.

Shoot me a text when you guys are over there. Be good to meet some more folks face to face. I want to get over there a little early since I've helped arrange a few things for this event, and need to talk to Don and others.
