Thats what I thought too, then I realized that my shift is dependent on sunrise, so all it means is I have to stay up later, even though its the same time as yesterday lol
So how am I passing this snowstormy night? Researching cruises for our honeymoon and am completely lost, way too many options and ports.

Oh well would you look at that, only 1 more hour to go before we can officially call it a lost night due to weather. I dont think thats enough time to get started working on homework, so I'll just continue randomly looking at cruises.
Might have to start a new thread on this eventually, surely some of the folks here have done cruises...

You didn't know that? Heck, when I moved down to NM from CO, I posted my couch for sale at $20. Four huge mexicans showed up at my doorstep, during a massive June thunderstorm and gave me $40 because it was "in much nicer condition than they expected". I threw in some free trashbags and tape so they could tape bags over it to keep it from getting too wet on the drive home. I felt kinda bad for them, 2 of the guys had to ride in the truck bed with the couch in the rain. I let them hang out for 20min and then they got all rushed for time and insisted on leaving. Guess they were too uncomfortable hanging out with me

I work for Four Winds Interactive, we do digital signage and have contracts with the Big Cruise lines, Royal, Norwegian, etc I have been on a few cruises for personal vacations and a few for work. I'll be doing alot more for work now that I am transferring to head up the IT on our cruise implementation team.

Sounds like a tough job, going on cruises for work. Had a friend in college who was a musician on a cruise ship for 1yr right after college. He said it was a very nice gig and had tons of free time.

Working on them while they are at a dry or wet dock is not that great, but when it is cruising with customers its rather nice.
My parents go on multiple cruises a year. They sail Silver Seas, which is one of the top luxury lines but super $$$$$. They just came back from one in South America.

Whooo boy, yep, that is some "super $$$$$". Definitely too much for us, but Norwegian's balcony rooms are a pretty good price and more reasonable. Then again, thats probably just my naivety poking through as I have no idea whats more expensive in the longer run, a cheaper room and tons of activities at each port, or a nicer room and taking things slower at each port.

Haha, I need to do more research on it, but once I have my shit together I think I'll start up a thread to see if people have any experiences or suggestions for making the most of cruises. I've been to Alaska before and it was beautiful, would deifnitely go back in a heartbeat. But, our wedding is in October, so we want to go south.

The Breakaway is the NCL ship that I will be working on in April, getting it ready for it Maiden cruise. No matter what you will want an ocean view room at the very least, and depending on when, where and how long you will be cruising a room with a balcony can make it much more enjoyable when wanting personal time. When you have a balcony truly relaxing in your room is possible and a rather fun way to spend time with the person you are cruising with. While you can hang on the deck lounging, you can be much more personal when its your own private area.

I have been twice to alaska, and if Cruise West did not shut down I would have gone a third time. Having done the Cruise west and a large cruise ship, I would do go with the smaller cruise west every time. It was much more of an expedition cruise on cruise west then on the big ships, and that is what made it so great as alaska is a place you want to get up close with. When I did the Cruise West cruise with my Father many years ago it happened to be a sailing that Chuck West the founder was on and while speaking with him I realized just how amazing Alaska really is and hands on is the only way to truly see its beauty

Thanks for the info on the rooms. I know we definitely don't want a windowless room. Hadn't thought about the balcony with that aspect, of it being a more personal and quiet place to enjoy away from the decks. Thanks for that extra bit of perspective, I think we'll get a balcony for our honeymoon.
...and while speaking with him I realized just how amazing Alaska really is and hands on is the only way to truly see its beauty
Yes, hands on from a cruise ship [LOL]
Sorry, I'm sure it was still extremely beautiful! I spent 3 weeks in the backcountry on a backpacking and sea-kayaking trip. We drove one day for 15hrs to get to our next base camp and it felt like we barely covered any ground in comparison to how big the state is. THAT really put it in perspective, as to how unmolested and barren Alaska really is. That, and nearly dying while taking off with too much gear in a small two passenger plane over a mountain pass from Cordova (which doesn't have any roads outside of the small fishing town, only accessible by plane/boat - we kayaked into it).
And on that note, we're calling it a night! See ya'll tomorrow!

The Ship I was on held less than 90 people and was an inside passage cruise where we stopped at locations you could not stop at on a large ship or probably any other ship unless you chartered one yourself. It did bow landings on small islands, went on some great expeditions, one place we did a landing only inhabitants were a couple that lived in a modest cabin but it had some amazing hot springs. and after the cruise ended in Juneau we spent another 8 days doing excursions on land.

I was just messin' with ya! Even experiencing Alaska from a cruise ship is remarkable! That does sound like it was a nice experience though, and getting on land like that would make that company quite desirable.

Never tried those while working, but they are delicious any other time.
I've got beef stroganoff, broccoli, m&ms and endless espresso. I try not to bring junk food with me, because I eat too much of it at home just from snacking during the day lol.
And yes, having a beer at 7am is awesome! I'll be having one Tuesday morning, probably around 8am once I finally get home, its right when my Fiancee starts working!

Pretty good series. The original series starred Andy Whitfield who later died . They did a prequel and now in it's last season. Some of the gratuitous sex scenes are well, amazing. Same for the Arena and battle ones. Visualize 3 seasons of The 300, with a decent story line, it very rarely, if at all drags along.
On December 22, 2009, the show was renewed for a second season but its production was postponed after Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with early-stage non-Hodgkin lymphoma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Hodgkin_lymphoma).[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-4)[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-5) Starz announced in May 2010 that it would develop a six-episode prequel series, entitled Spartacus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Gods_of_the_Arena)
O: Gods of the Arena (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Gods_of_the_Arena), to allow star actor Whitfield to undergo medical treatment.[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-6) The prequel featured both new and returning characters; it was headlined by John Hannah (as Batiatus) and Lucy Lawless (as Lucretia). Whitfield also provided a brief voice-over role. Filming began in New Zealand in the summer of 2010. The prequel aired beginning January 2011.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-7)
In June 2010, season two's pre-production resumed after Starz announced Whitfield was cancer-free.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-8) But when his cancer recurred, Starz replaced Whitfield (with the actor's consent) with Liam McIntyre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_McIntyre) as Spartacus for season two which is titled Spartacus: Vengeance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Vengeance).[9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-Deadlinecancer-9)[10] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-10)[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Blood_and_Sand#cite_note-11) Andy Whitfield died on September 11, 2011

I got into reloading only a month or two ago. Found 2k small pistol primers and 2lbs of powder (two types pistol) at my local gun shop. Snatched those up along with 500 bullets. Got my scale, which was the last item to get, about 2 weeks ago, loaded up some ammo and immediately realized that loading at any sort of rate that I want to by weighing each charge will take me way too long. So I bought a die mounted powder dropper. It was delivered on Saturday and I've been extremely anxious to get home to play with it!
Heck, I've been extremely anxious to test my first reloads, but haven't had time to get to the range in the past 10 days.
I still keep looking online for various parts, mostly bullets though, for pistol and eventually .223, but I don't have those dies yet. Figured I'd get used to loading for pistol first before I switch over to rifle.

Haha, nope! I've only got one pistol that shoots this caliber, though I have been wanting to pick up a Glock 27 for a while now, but I refuse to sell my Glock 23. And yes, my first reloading venture was with loading .40 S&W to be shot out of a Glock [LOL]
I double checked everything each step of the way and made sure that each powder charge was well below the maximum value. I've very confident that they'll work without any problems, but I would be lying if I said that I won't be a tiny bit nervous when I pull the trigger the first time lol. I'll be wearing some gloves just in case though.
And I will be shooting 1 round at a time, then checking for squibs, though I doubt the charges were that low to cause squibs.

Nah, no shops here...I just so happen to tune.
Been doing it for several years...Mostly Subaru's and Evo's.
But I've done a few others..
Most recent work was an '03 Cobra, 2.6 Kenne Bell - 15psi, E85. 638whp 550wtq, that was a lot of fun...SCT isn't anywhere near as smart or as cool as the Mits or Sub stuff though.

Also, getting an itch to start playing at long ranges, looking at picking up a Remington 700 SPS Varmint. Ultimately, putting it in an HS PRecision stock and throwing an SWFA 10x scope on top. So, I might also be getting some 308 dies and slowly picking up some bullets, brass and primers.

Drafting is fun, I start out with a thought, get it drafted, then think of an idea and it consumes me while I do everything possible to get it to work. Lucky for me, most of our machining is done on CNC, so I can make some really fun designs that would make a regular machinist cringe lol
