Oh yea, every 15min, I'm checking the local firearm forum (in souther new mexico) in hopes that someone is interested in buying my Savage Mark II-F for $120. Been listed for over a week, 128 views and not a single person contact me about it. No lowballs either! [Eek2]

I think I'll probably bump it up tomorrow and include a free box of Winchester 555 ($19 value) with it. I'm planning on buying a Savage Mark II-FV after I sell the Mark II-F, and after waiting a week I'd rather just take a slight hit on the price than wait any longer to order the Mark II-FV. And here I thought it was EASY to sell a $120 .22lr rifle. [Shake]

Once we meet the minimum data quality threshold, we move onto the next field. Some nights we can observe as many as 9,000 objects (about the max we can do). Other nights, like tonight, nothing.

Ha! We do the same thing...I'll be in the plane doing an engine run, and I have to set the torque bugs. I'm sweating my butt off, twisting a knob to set the outside air temp and it's 38. Not bad sounding, if I wasn't in a damn greenhouse doing it...sun beating in, and the only air movement is the avionics cooling fans exhaust...[ROFL1] I'd love to turn the A/C on, but I'm doing a max power run and I have to leave the engine bleeds OFF! AAARRGGHHH!!!!!

That's during the day...we don't work day shift, or night shift, or swing shift...we work whatever we have to, whenever we have to.

I'm still up. Just got cloudy which basically halted our perfect weather and excellent data grabbing all night.

Switched over and started drafting a Ruger 10/22 barrel in Solidworks. I'm highly considering buying a Green Mountain Bull Barrel for my Savage Mark II-F (can get one for $109 shipped), increasing the tenon length from 0.875" to 1.25" and cutting in a notch for the extractor bolt guider.

The plan was to sell my Mark II-F and buy a Mark II-FV. I had my Mark II-F up for sale down here for nearly 2 weeks and not a single person was interested. Not even a lowball offer (if you can believe that!). Price was down at $120 and I was including a brick of Winchester 555 making the rifle only $101. Apparently that still wasn't sweet enough of a pot. So now I'm back to the drawing boards and trying to decide if I want to attempt the machining myself (its not that complicated and I have access to a lathe).

Well, if I sold my Mark II-F, I would buy the Mark II-FV (heavy barrel version, same rifle just from the factory) for $193 shipped ($218 transferred) from Buds. So out of pocket if I sold my II-F a II-FV would only cost me around $100 and buying the barrel I'd be out the $110 for the barrel, the time needed to break the rifle apart, knock out the barrel after measuring everything, machining down the barrel (probably about an hour of work), then measuring everything and getting the rifle back in the same spot as the factory barrel. So all in all, about 4-8hrs of work to install the barrel. It would be a lot easier for me to buy the FV, but I refuse to buy it without selling my II-F first as once I have the FV, I won't shoot the F anymore lol

Wierd thing happened to me tonight. Normaly I don't go to bed until 5am, esp. on nights I'm on call. In college, my roommates and I had a huge party at our place (not that uncommon). When we woke up the next morning, one of my roommates who disappeared for about an hour in the middle of the party while hammered, woke up and said "I think I bought a pair of shoes online last night".

We looked at him and were like, WTF! When we asked him why he thinks that, he said that he received an email from a company thanking him for his purchase and that his shoes would be in the mail in the next 3 business days. His credit card would be charged the full amount when the shoes shipped. Here's the kicker, the shoes were just over $400! He never heard the end of it (and no, he didn't buy a pair of fancy stilettos, they were just a plain ole basic pair of boat shoes).

To this day, I still don't know if he refuted the charge or kept the shoes.

no sir you wont be sleeping at all . if you have ever worked in entertainment its kinda the same scheduled , but without a day off . 2hrs on 1 off, 1 hour on 3 off , 1 hour on 2 hour off ......totally random and all the friking time . believe it or not i had this same schedule for about 20 years , but i could not take the gig and it came with some down time (not much[Tooth]) . i know it wont last forever but damn .honestly if i did not do my own thing for work and have a stay at home wife , im not sure we would be as sane as we have been . a life of naps gets old and cranky fast [Mad]

And thank you! She's very excited too, work has become a living nightmare for her lately, stressed out of her mind and its a horrible work environment. Best of all, when I mentioned that she could carry a firearm in her new workplace, and she became intrigued at the idea of taking a CCW class.

This is coming from the same woman who just a few months ago was somewhat terrified of guns. Took her to the range for the first time ~10 days ago and suddenly she's open to getting her CCL. I knew I had a keeper, but I really got lucky now that she loves shooting! :)
