    I think, AND I COULD BE WRONG (so don't take my word for it), you have to pay the premiums up front and get the "subsidy" at tax return time.

    Nah, the free money comes every month, it has to. I'd be interested to know the details on how (what happens if you don't pay for instance) but alot of people would be unable to pay and even more would be ready to tar & feather someone if the rebate came all at once.

    We had our annual insurance meeting this past Friday, everyone's rates doubled. But that question was asked, and I think that "subsidy" only applies if your employer doesn't offer insurance, at least according to the kaiser rep. Thank God I have VA coverage.

    The subsidies are only applied with individual plans. If you have insurance through employer, there are no subsidies. Except for people with Medicare.

    Providing they make under $xx. Which is very few, based on the paperwork they sent me. Own a house, disqualified.
