I was 4th in line behind them, 5 belly dumps, lead one lost it rest had to run em in the ditch to avoid him. Don't know what caused lead to lose it.

That was the second blockage, first was in Prospect. Local farmer with enough horse power pulled them straight enough for us to pass. While we waited at first blockage fireman let us know they had opened Prospect station as safety/rest stop.

Several of us thanked him and said we were going thru unless SP or SO made a stink. Trooper on site recognized most everybody as locals, shook his head and waved us by.

Yeah . . . if they don't reciprocate (and they are fully able to) then it definitely makes it less motivating to do. I tend to get out first and do more, but the times that I don't--most of the able-bodied neighbors hit my walk or at least drop off a 6-pack or cash for some snowblower gas. The elderly folks, I don't mind doing it at all. That will be me someday and I hope someone helps me out when I get there.

My mom actually called and said not to come over. Her neighbors took care of her driveway and walk.

We’ve been without power since quarter after 5:00. I was shoveling and my wife came out to tell me it went dark .

This is one thing an HOA is good for. We all pitch in and pay for a service to shovel the walk.

Nobody gets upset their efforts aren't recognized, and everyone including the old folks get their walk shoveled.

Gonna have to dig em out tomorrow.
I never even got close to Bennett. They wadded a bunch up on 56th Ave east of 470 and made us turn around. Ended up all the way back to Commerce City to get around closures to get to Hudson and start east.

I was in that stack too. 2013 red Taurus. Got turned around to head toward Tower-another block. Backed around to e470 and went to 120th. Got about 3/4 way to Imboden, blocked. Backed to Picadilly and went to 152nd. Started hitting heavy drifts near the Imboden turnoff, so headed toward a buddy's place nearby. He's 2 or 2.5 miles off Imboden on 120th. 120th caught me.

That's what it's for. It's not for driving around in non-inclement weather, or stop and go traffic, with your front AND REAR fog lights on because you're too stupid to use a car.

Just heard on the news that a 69 year old guy had to be rescued off the Manitou Incline today.

    Default VA are bastards

The storm aggravated the protozoans in my blood. That gave me the "cluster headache". I went to the VA clinic and it was closed hours early, even though there was no snow. Assholes won't give me the medication I need.
