Unless you're a republican. Then you're a racist, homoerotictransgender basher. From the moment you do something wrong. Unlike those peaceful protesters we saw, using sustainable fires to illuminate the cities . As well as use for heating and cooking. Very green of them

The magazine question is still out there. The scant reports I have seen indicate use of "legal" 10 rounders, which would make some sense given relative lack of screeching about a "high-capacity death clip" in this case. As we all know, mag changes can be executed quickly, regardless of capacity. Unless the victims in the kill zone are knowledgeable and willing to act, capacity has little to do with casualty count compared to most fundamental factors (victim density, layout of the venue, avenues of escape, etc.).

I suspect the perp purchased a CO compliant package that included a few 10 rounders and then maybe picked-up a couple more. I wouldn't surprise me that Eagle's Nest didn't have any 20 or 30 rounders, given the somewhat recent rush on mags, and the perp was probably not the type to shop around. Heck, Eagles Nest is pretty much kittycorner across 64th & Ward from the family restaurant.

You don't even have to do anything wrong. Simply not agreeing with the extreme left on any position -- even if you're mostly left wing -- is sufficient to get canceled and presumed guilty of something terrible. As you note, CO2 from internal combustion engines, coal-fired power plants, etc. is EVIL while CO2 and various other toxins from burning stores and vehicles and what have you in a "peaceful protest" is apparently innocent of any environmental damage.

EDIT: Came across this article right after posting -- it illustrates the point I was making:

Maybe in the courts, but I'm talking about the MEDIA. They're the ones throwing the "S" word around like they're trying to preserve his right to vote Democrat to the last minute.....

We used to live off 64th and Ward in Arvada. One of our favorite restaurants to get carry-out dinner on Friday or Saturday night was "The Sultan Grill" right next to Faith Bible Chapel.

Guess what family owns and operates "The Sultan Grill".

Interesting. I looked up The Sultan Grill and apparently the restaurant has been shut down since the shooting. Can you imagine the horror and disgrace the family is living through now? I wouldn't expect it to reopen.

The family where the shooter lived is in an $800,000 home not far from the restaurant. I grew up in that neighborhood from 3rd grade through high school. I'm sure I wouldn't recognize much of it now. Arvada West was pretty new when I attended but it's been torn down and replaced by a new, larger school. When I was a kid 64th & Ward Road was mostly hay fields. There was a tiny old gas station there with two crank and bubble pumps. A slender little old lady came out to pump gas and we bought earth worms from her for fishing.

My folks bought a brand new house there in 1960 for $3450. It has 3 bedrooms, two baths, and a full basement. The trees we planted now dwarf the house. Arvada isn't the rural farm community we moved into at that time. And there were no Syrian, Muslim refugees that I ever encountered. Our weirdest fellow student was a Seventh Day Adventist but he was a pacifist and never killed anybody.
