It is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are hanged. - The Cleveland Press, March 1, 1921, GK Chesterton
Anyone know how many shots were fired by this scumbag? I heard today that all of the murder victims were a one-shot kill. That seems strange considering the scumbag just bought the weapon, what was it, 2 weeks before the incident? If this is true it seems to me that he was either extremely "lucky" or he was extremely well trained.
Based on what I read, most victims were shot multiple times at close range once they were wounded. Officer Talley stuffed a catastrophic head wound, so he may be the exception. I have seen the witness video a few times, and have been unable to see blood near any of the visible victims- maybe I just missed it.
The vagrants of Boulder welcome you...
Officer Talley enters with or without backup (not clear, stories vary).
Officer Talley is incapacitated (sadly)
Follow on officers or those with him take out the suspect at some point. But video shows the time elapse before tactical entry is made, assuming a 2nd time.
Of course we won't have details until they are leaked or released, so all pure speculation.
Well, enough time occured between Talley being shot and the suspect having free reign in the building to eventually become bored enough to strip down to his undies and surrender to the swat team that finally entered. Anyonethat would have been wounded and experiencing blood loss would have been dead after a out 4 minutes.
When I was there I saw the line of officers at the east entrance move like they were entering and then do a quick 180 and form a line back behind the door at which time the swat armored truck arrived and moved up to the west entrance, paused and then backed off. At that time I decided this was more than the usual crazy homeless guy and left the scene. While I was there an elderly man came out of the west entrance, spun around like he was confused and went back in loitered about for a minute and then came back out while a Boulder officer stood at the corner of the building with his sidearm drawn and not aiding the old man in any way.
I'm guessing Talley got there and entered just before I pulled in along with a dozen or so other cop cars based on the time stamps of my pics and the official time stamps of the 911 calls and police response.

It sure seems like after hero Talley went in, the BPD fell back to the Brower County Coward Defense as victims bled out.
