The CRKT's always in my right pocket... never too far away from my hand. I moved the clip to the bottom end of the handle so the blade sits pointing upward, the nub thing on the top of the blade catches the edge of my pocket and opens the knife as I pull it out. After carrying both the drop point version of this knife and the tanto blade I have now, I gotta say I prefer the drop point. This one's on its last legs so I'll probably be replacing it soon with another drop point one. REALLY like the Veff serrations though.
The SOG Seal Pup (old version, before the Elites came out) is always somewhere close by... belt, backpack shoulder strap, etc. for the heavy lifting I don't trust a folding knife for. Concave top edge near the front of the blade is sharpened. Also my dive knife, although I haven't touched my scuba gear in over a year. Blade's missing about a 1/2" cause I broke and then reground the tip.
The Ka-Bar is usually around unless I have a reason NOT to bring it... on the MOLLE webbing on the side of my pack, sitting between the seat and center console next to the .44, whatever. Top of this one's been sharpened too. This is the one I mainly use on hunting/camping trips. Its missing about 1" off the blade for the same reason as the SOG, and I broke the butt off it too. Yeah, I abuse my knives
. I thought this one would last longer being the D2 steel version, but it didn't help much.
