This is our cute dog Bella. She was diagnosed with congenital megaesophagus soon after we found her at 4 months old. Megaesophagus means that her esophagus is enlarged and lacks the muscle mobility to swallow food while horizontal. Spent a lot of my 20's in the mountains... never saw one. In my 30's I was traveling in the National Forest and I met an old friend who was also a DOW officer on a forest road. He asked me if I just saw a Cougar. I said no and we got in his truck to show me where it was. I passed it and never saw it.
Since then I have been shown where to look and I see Cougars almost every time I visit the forests... it was almost better before when I was ignorant.
