It would be even funnier if they spelled pedophyle correctly.
Paedophile is the british spelling of pedophile. Guess some of them have a good sense of humor as well.

Thanks. Agreed.
As mentioned, the photo is a real PD deployment and not from a movie or TV show. However it was not from the Boston marathon bombing, it was an active shooter incident in a town in upstate New York.

He stuck around for a bit, but I haven't seen him in a while. I gave him a lot of credit though.... He had a lot of balls showing up on a forum like this and then start spouting his political beliefs. He definitely was pretty pissed at his own party after the gun laws passed as well. I saw this earlier today and my initial reaction was to shake my head and end in a nice facepalm. But then I got to thinking and for a moment the curtains of cynicism lifted and I realised that this is actually a step forward. At least these Marxist/Alinskyite Union Teachers are starting to acknowledge the efficacy of (and possibly even rightness of) self defense. Sure the method is stupid but this is a huge step forward for people who here-to-fore would have insisted that their students try to empathize with their would be killers and figure out what they had done to deserve being murdered.
Silver linings and all that.

Throwing a can of beans might work as long as you don't throw like a girl.
When you think about it, a can of soup may distract the shooter enough to be tackled, knocked out, put in pain, etc.
Has anyone tried to shoot accurately while someone is throwing something at you?
The normal human response is to duck, cover the head, etc.

Way off track for this thread, but the elementary school I went to(Eiber in Lakewood) had a fire door in each classroom that went directly outside. They were located such that breaking a window wouldn't allow you to reach the door opening mechanism, and there were no outside handles, so they presented a minimal external security risk. I doubt that the designers had active shooters in mind, but it is an effective solution. If you can't be cornered in a room, they can't shoot you like fish stacked in a milk crate.

This sounds like 1 of the 2 elementary schools I went to, as well as the middle-school.... it made for an easy lockdown inside too, as each grade was in it's own "wing" with class rooms on either side of the hall. There was one main entry into the "wing" that could be cordoned off easily from the rest of the school.

This is an irresponsibly ridiculous idea from liberals who once again are using the "it's for the children" platitude. If it was really "for the children" they'd have armed staff to protect them rather than expecting middle-schoolers to take on an armed gunman.
Oh, yeah...the canned food items are also kept under lock. Lotta freaking good that's gonna do when the shooting starts. "Quick...someone get the canned peas!"
ETA: I meant to also say how ironic it is that these liberal administrators will keep the "canned food weapons" locked up so they aren't misused by the kids...but they expect the kids to be responsible and mature enough to not only get the locked-up items from the locker but to engage a gunman with them. Stupidity of liberal thought never ceases to amaze me.

Our video at our $110B dollar company, didn't show throwing a stapler at the AK47 wielding gunman, but it did show throwing a potted plant. Imagine my dismay when they took away all of our potted plants. The company head of security was on site to show the video and explain the program to any who were interested. He was from corporate in Cali, and mentioned that when he asks who has fired a gun or heard a gun shot to a similar group in California, it's usually about 2-3 people who have. In Colorado, it was 100%. ;)

That's funny- did you ask for a never version of the video since they took away your primary weapon?
I wound up having a conversation with our CSO, who is former Federal LEO, and has the standard East coast mentality that only the police can be trusted with weapons. We agreed to disagree, and I planned on taking the cutting arm off a paper cutter if I can't be armed. But now I work from home 80+% of the time so I feel safer.

Hard to recall exactly where, but I think it was Philadelphia; I was trying to return the rental car at 0500 in the morning in the dark, and a tanker had wedged his load on the rental car loss prevention barrier for Avis - one of those monster flip up steel ramps. After circling and getting lost twice, i finally had to go through another rental lot and drive over their cones to get the car back so I could make the flight. I should have left it parked right behind the jackwad.

Best GB ad ever!
The Mako tire deflator is quite possibly the most useful accessory ever designed for the AR-15. Originally developed for the Israeli military to use at check points or something. It's stated purpose is to allow the user to have a convenient bayonet like spike on the muzzle of your rifle for deflating tires but allow me to expand your horizons:Imagine yourself stalking the post apocalyptic wastelands having crushed your enemies and wanting to know what more is good in life. You wish to drive your enemies before you and hear the lamentations of their women. How are you going to drive them before you without this super intimidating spike on the muzzle of your rifle? How will you invoke the lamentations of their women without having the recently liberated head of your enemy mounted on this convenient head impaling device? Have you ever tried mounting a severed head on an AR-15? Not a simple thing to do! Fortunately you can now equip your rifle with the Mako tire deflator spike and be prepared!
Maybe you aren't worried about the collapse of civilization and just like to enjoy the outdoor life with your modern sporting rifle. Well here is how the Mako tire spike can work for you! Imagine relaxing by the campfire with the family trying to cook up some dinner. Recent research by Al Gore and the Internet shows that with all the global warming and stuff it's sometimes hard to find a good wiener roasting stick. But with the spike on your rifle you are ready to go! It also works great for shish kabobs and even roasting marshmallows. An additional benefit is that if bears start poking their dirty bear snouts around while you are cooking you are totally ready to go! Just imagine old Yogi's surprise when he is snuffing at your tasty kabob.... BAM! Shot right in the face because your roasting stick is actually an AR-15!Why else do you need the Mako tire spike?
How many times in today's urban environment have you needed to punchisize someone but had no way to do it? Well this amazing device also functions as a rubber fist launcher and is like having Chuck Norris on the barrel of your rifle. No longer will you have to resort to tawdry fisticuffs as you can launch your blows from a distance with dynamic dildonic punching power. Simply place a rubber fist over the hardened steel spike and use 5.56 blank to launch it amazing distances. What's even better is that once you have launched a fist you are left holding a fully loaded AR with a big mean spike on the end. Teddy Roosevelt once said "talk softly and carry a big stick" but that's only because he didn't have an AR-15 with this amazing device. The Mako tire deflator spike is a hardened steel hypodermic needle which attaches to the standard 5.56 AR-15 bird cage flash hider and you can shoot with it mounted on your rifle. You can use it to take core samples of bad guys and dead hookers and stuff. It will mount onto some other flash hiders like the FN F2000. It won't work on an AUG A1, SCAR, FS2000, HK 93 or any 7.62 pattern flash hiders. It's pretty much just for the AR-15 which is all you really need: 'Merica......... Payment by USPS MO or cash if you wanna keep it real. Shipping is included in a flat rate USPS priority box. These are unused but come in a slightly tattered bag as they are some kind of new old stock surplus or overrun or something. They feature the newer version tire flattening sleeve which is a plastic tube thingy that fits on the "needle" and sticks in the tire to ensure it goes flat in a few seconds. I haven't actually tried firing through one of these things yet but it attaches the same as a Gemtech HALO and some other supressors. Rifles, rubber fist, etc are not included, it's just the spike stuff shown in the first pic. Rubber fists are readily available on Amazon or seedy truck stops though you probably shouldn't actually launch them as its dangerous and likely immoral.
[Information added 1/26/2015 2:06:50 PM]
I have received a series of increasingly shrill emails from a guy who says he is a recon sniper team leader and is very angry at my assertion that these were designed for the Israeli military to deflate tires with. He also tells me that it's very dangerous to deflate tires or launch rubber fists cause you could blow up your gun if you use live ammunition while flattening, fisting, impaling or grilling. So don't do those things. And you could put your eye out. So if you didn't realize it before you have been warned: guns with spikes on the barrel are dangerous. He also tells me that tire deflators, head impaling spikes and people like me are the reason guns are banned. All I can say is buy now to get a genuine muzzle spike before they close the head impaling spike tire deflator loophole!

Ok, you're gonna have to explain this one. Is it about the trash on the roof to the left?
Rule of thumb for roof ventilation is 1 sq/ft of vent per 150 sq/ft of attic space. A normal roof of this size might have four of those box vents, but this one has 13. The ones at the far end of the roof were less than 12" apart from each other. The trash on the roof was a whole other deal that was just as weird. It was a bunch of glass light fixtures and sea shells. I have no idea what was going on with that.
I know it's not really all that funny.
Installer was probably on a bonus plan, paid per vent install.

No, actually that is realy funny. It kind of reminds me of the first apartment I ever had. Place was falling apart, and I'm no contractor or building inspector, but I knew enough to tell the apartment managers they needed to come get a few things up to code before I moved in. They had an exposed light bulb with no fixture in the closet next to a shelf, electrical outlets hanging out from the wall, it was a mess.

Uncle Joe gets a bit "handsy"
Ah, that wacky old Clueless Joe. No wonder he was selected for Obama's VP, he's the best insurance they could find to protect Obama's seat. Can't can his worthless ass, because Goofy Joe the Groper is next up.

After he is out he will get caught at something really disgusting. Right now he can keep his creepyness hidden but once out of office he will give in to the urges and get caught. This guy is seriously sick in the head.
Those bikers looked ready to give him a tune-up.

I'm counting multiple levels of awesomeness in this pic.
1- The Bigwheel
2- The cowboy boots
3- The rifle
4- The cape
5- The "What the F$^% you lookin at" expression.
Gotta say, if I win the lottery, that's probably how I'd dress every day.

Big Wheels didn't come out until I was too big to ride them, I was already on the Stingray two wheelers. But I did wear a cape, cowboy boots, I had a brace of Fanner 50's and every other toy firearm that was made, including the Johnny Seven OMA!
