Just picked up a Swiss Army "camper" this evening. I grew up carrying a Swiss Army knife, but haven't owned one for probably 13 years or so. I will pair this with my Columbia River (hopefully soon to be Izula), with the Swiss handling a majority of the general cutting needs, and a nice sharp edge being kept on the Columbia for defensive purposes and heavier tasks. The Swiss Army is small enough to fit in my pocket and I don't know its there, but the tools inside could prove to be a lifesaver at times, and with two blades, what's not to love.

I never liked Swiss Army knives. I remember having one or two as a kid though.

I certainly wouldn't replace my Columbia River with it, or any good single blade knife, But I think it will make a nice addition to my daily carry items. I really like multi tools such as the Leatherman or Gerber, but they are just too damn bulky for daily carry IMO.

I had what I think they called a Swiss Champ years ago. Damn thing was the size of an office stapler You can't beat either a Swiss knife or a good multi tool in your BOB though. Just too many uses. JMHO

My daily carry knife is a police folder and its not a weapon at all. Its a straw cutter, string remover, box opener and in rare cases steak knife. More and more lately a rope cutter and anti zombie missile.

I used to have a nice Gerber multitool that I found in a car when I was a lot tech. I don't know what happened to it though.

I used to carry a Benchmade Griptilian around for about 3 years... Moved to Colorado and lost it in a river on a rafting trip the summer before last.

Bought a new one last December... Then lost it in a damn Safeway parking lot a few weeks later pulling my car keys out (I think)... On Countyline... Some lucky bastard found that nearly new knife.

    Was it any of you?

Haven't had the heart to buy a new carry yet. And have cursed the heavens every time I have needed to cut something in the last year.
