Started watching 'Tiger King'. You can't make this stuff up....

Second episode - Weird left the station, heading at warp-8 for Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.......

4th episode - rocketed past Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, heading towards "inconceivable".......

5th episode - "inconceivable" is not what I thought it meant......

I never mentioned the gun safety in 'Tiger King' simply because there was no safe gun handling in 'Tiger King'.

It wasn't the hype. It was the plot until they pulled it after the shootings in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio.

After the shooting of Republicans at a baseball practice by a Dem nutjob, I don't think that's the right message to play with in a movie plot, even if it's in jest.

I think the first one was released when the whole zombie craze was in full swing.

The excitement around zombies has since dwindled and probably killed interest in the sequel.

Kind of OT, but just a slight rant, I'm getting annoyed. It seems like every time I find a show/anime/etc I like on Netflix or Prime, it ends up getting cancelled or just ends unexpectedly. The Tick? Cancelled. Various animes? Well, I saw Copyright 2013, and since it just sort of dropped off and ended, I'm guessing either they stopped translating or the show got cancelled. Stuff like that. Wish shows that got cancelled had to post a quick "Here's what our plans were, here's the storyline" stuff before they left so I know who the heck various characters are etc :P

I'm kind of curious, exactly how serious a charge you're hit with for, An Unregistered Cell Phone ? They seemed to push that during questioning.

I can say one thing about a good brit series. Until it ends you think you have a clue who did it. Then they take you up and down a few switchbacks before you know. Or do you

Watched Ad Astra tonight and it was laughably bad. I can see no comparison to Forrest Gump at all. Forrest Gump was a fantastic piece of work, but Ad Astra was laughably stupid with a horrible plot and non-stop emo monologues. It was flipping BORING. Everything simple goes wrong to create drama, and the impossible just happens with no problem whatsoever.

I didn't want to throw out any *spoilers*. That was certainly a high point in stupidity, but that certainly wasn't the biggest. Stupid is as stupid does in Ad Astra. Maybe Bradd Pitt's character was mentally challenged? Were those your Forrest Gump connections?

Don't watch Netflix much, but, even with a big Direct TV bundle, cable and satellite TV seems to have run out of anything really entertaining.
I've been searching Netflix more looking for something light and entertaining.
Ended up watching Seven Days in Utopia with Robert Duvall, and The Healer.
Both were pretty good ways to spend an evening with the family.
The Seven Days in Utopia credits go on to promote a faith based book, and The Healer credits promote Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps (and I later read that all proceeds from the movie went to Paul Newman's charity)
Just wondering if this is the new trend in movie making?

It could have been a completely forgettable show coasting to a profit on a cheap grab for 80s nostalgia.

Netflix 'AVA'. Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrel, John Malkovich. Jessica Chastain is an assassin, recovering alcoholic, who kicks everyone's butt with super-human martial art skills.

AWFUL !! Just plain awful. Not even John Malkovich can save this flick...... ugh..... I can suspend disbelief for only so long, but the fight scenes were so obviously over the top choreographed.... she's tossing around guys twice her size.... with their help.

Watching 'What Happened to Monday?' on Netflix.

Dystopian future, one child only policy, additional children are put into suspended animation. Noomi Rapace is really good in this.

Saw that one in theaters, then bought it. I find it hilarious, but understand that some people don't have a sense of humor... haha

Helicopter Wars.

I think it's only four episodes, but it's very interesting. I've been watching it on Sling, network is called DangerTV.

This has been around since 2009 I believe, so it might be old news to all of you.

The wife and I just finished with the first season of the Wilds on Amazon. Not sure where it is heading but we?ll likely watch season 2 when it comes out to see how it continues to play out.

Watched a really off beat movie, "Escanaba in da Moonlight".

It's about a guy (Jeff Daniels) who has no man-card because he lives in Escanaba Michigan and has never shot a deer. It's not everyone's cuppa, but some parts were hilarious.

We started "Blacklist" on Netflix and binged for hours. 7 seasons and we're only in 10 episodes in 2 days. Good so far.

Finally got around to watching The Winter War, a 1980s Finnish movie that tells the story of some reservists who get called up to fight against the Russian invasion in 1939.

It's long, but well done. Anyone who's a proper fan of Mosin Nagants should like it.

There is a reality TV survival show on Netflix called Alone. Apparently it's been going for a while cause it starts at season 6. Anyway S6E1 is a laugh riot. Haven't made it much past that.

If you liked those, you should check out "Happy" on Netflix - two seasons of a surreal, gory, action-packed LSD trip, basically.

Or "Preacher" if you've got access to Hulu - four seasons' worth.

If you haven't seen "No Safe Spaces" yet, now is a good time. $4 to rent on YT, doesn't seem to be on NF, an I ditched Azon last week, so I'm not sure if it's on there.
