Ordered this stuff to light up the pantry I'm building. I picked up a 3 foot section of these LED rope lights from Radio Shack for around $30. The ones I just ordered from Amazon are 16 feet long for under $4.00. Pays to shop around. Don't I feel like a dummy. Radio Shack also sells a plug in power supply (looks like an old Sega Genesis power cable) for around $30. The one pictured was $9.99. [facepalm]

The KidRobot store in the Peoples Republic of Boulder had 2 or 3 left when I was there this morning. They are a quick selling Limited Edition, but they just came out on Halloween so you should be able to find them for a little bit longer.

How do you like the strike industries rail?
Interested in your feedback regarding installation. The manual (yes i research their instructions before buying) says you are suppose to install the rail "then" install the gas block. Which makes no sense and would make that a pain in the butt. When you installed the rail was there reason for this strange way they want you to instal it?
The installation is a bit of a pain in the arse. The barrel nut wrench that is supplied by Strike Industries is a weak POS. Yes, You do have to install the handguard onto the barrel nut before installing the gas block. The low-profile gas block I used has 2 set-screws on the bottom that secures it in place. The handguards have a place for the allen wrench to access the screws making it relatively easy to complete the installation. Depending on the type of low-profile gas block you use, it could be problematic. Strike Industries also gives you quality spacers to assit with barrel nut installation which I thought was nice. Once they're on, I absolutely love the feel and look. They are really light weight and the price is really good too. Hope this helps. [Beer]

Is there no clearance / difference in the "cooling fins" at the back of the rail that would inhibit you from sliding the rail over a gas block?
Is there no clearance / difference in the "cooling fins" at the back of the rail that would inhibit you from sliding the rail over a gas block?
You are correct. The internal fins block the rail from going over the gas block. It is a pain, but nothing real problematic from my experience. I've been nothing but pleased with the handguards. I plan on putting a set on my 300 Blackout upper when that build begins. For the price, you really can't go wrong IMO.

Hasn't seen the light of day in 20 years. When he saw it he went downstairs and brought up a can of bullets, hope they fire they are as old as the gun. Only thing is he lost the mag so if someone wants to part with a 10 rounder let me know??

Sweet! After I told my dad that I had purchased a Mossberg 500, he said he thought his old shotty was a Mossberg too. Sure enough, he dug his out and it's a Coast-to-Coast branded Mossy 500. Guns - uniting generations for, well, generations!

My 2010 has no rust and even though I had a recall for the rear seat belt (access cab) mine was tight and within tolerance. Lots of the guys on the forums that have Access Cabs are reporting the same thing. I'd rather have a company that actively does recalls to address potential safety issues even if they don't actually need fixed than a company that is too worried about the negative publicity from doing recalls.

It's easier to get in and out of the truck because when they get wet it's slick. You'll find out when you cram your shin into the bottom of the dash trying to situation. Ask how I know. lol

Very nice! I've got a set in my Tacoma and love them!
Yeah I got the Toyota all weather mats with my Tundra when I purchased it, but they don't cover under the pedal because of all the legal issues and barely cover anything in the back so I got these for the front and the husky liner for the back as it had better reviews.

I disagree. They have a somewhat rubberized coating and I have no trouble with slipping wet shoes or snowy boots. Regardless, I don't step on the sill getting in or out of the truck.
FWIW, the factory deep-channel rubber (made by weathertech I'm told) in the Audi are the shit. I keep them in year round and never use the carpeted mats. I wish they made a version of those for the truck that ran up the sides like these.

You're trying to disagree with what happened to me? Disagree all you want but I damn near broke my shin twice getting into my truck trying to slide back into my seat and into a more upright position better. Both times it was wet/snowy and my left foot slipped and my shin went into the dash with pretty much all my weight and the first time it happened I was really surprised I didn't break my shin. That's how hard it hit. You can disagree all you want but I assure you it happened. I was there and I felt it for a few weeks afterwards
As for the Audio all-weather mats... I've had five and that was the first item I bought for each one. Best floor mats in the car industry IMO.

I just did the intake manifold gasket on my 99. And by I mean "I did" I mean I tried to do it and the amount of work was just more than I could finish on my own. What a nightmare! I hear though that you only have to change it once and then it'll be set for the life of the motor. How many miles do you have on yours?

I just did a new intake on my '03 suburban, I've only got 70,000 miles. When you pull your intake put a straight edge on it, most of the time it's warped and gaskets alone won't solve the leaking.

Don't they not put any sealer around the gasket from the factory? I have read that a large part of the problem comes from that. So if you put sealer in when you change them out it should be good to go.

I wish I had put a pair of those in my truck a few days ago. My wife lent my step daughter my truck to get gas for her stranded boyfriend. She filled a gas can and put it on the floor in the cab of the truck. I guess she didn't realize the bed of the truck was a more appropriate place for combustibles. She spilled enough gas to fill the mat and overflow into the carpet below.

Kwando,
I had the forend Duracoated, the grip and buttstock are MOE. I just picked it up from the guy today. Just in time for Christmas. LOL
Ridge,
It is further forward, easier for her to see (Aimpoints hopefully in the not too distant future), but it is on correctly. The adjustment knob is on the right side, the picture makes it look like it is on the left.

Chunky Monkey,
I understand what you and Ridge are saying about the rifle. It is pretty new and I have been trying to get my newly minted AARP progressive lens wearing eyes to work the iron sights better. It is pretty far forward, but the knob is on the correct side.
I have an M&P 15 too with an Aimpoint and I am still able to BUS for closer distances, but the new glasses...
I am sure I will find the sweet spot in the near future. Then it is my intention to Aimpoint up. :)

Be careful man. Those little fellas chewed me up and spit me out every bit as much as the big ones did if not more. In fact the last time I rode one was fresh of the dealer lot and I remembered yelling to my buddy 'Look dude, 3rd gear wheelie' before keeping it real went wrong. lol

I may try that (fitting) once I get rest of the parts in
Baofeng UV-5R x 2.
7" antenna x 2
14" antenna x 2
Programming cable (not pictured)
Total cost was well under $100. EDIT: Looks like the total cost (including shipping) was $103.92. I did this in three separate orders. All in one order would save you on shipping I'm sure.

Nice Score! Expert power is where I got all my stuff for the Baofengs. The only other accessories I bought were hand mics, car adapters, and a battery pack that takes AA batteries and larger battery packs.
Those will be next for sure.
new stock, and new wheels/tires.
PRS purchased from a member here, and some 19's with 275/30/19's for my other money pit.

Green Mountain Guns? Saw the P227 Equinox there a few weeks ago. Had to resist.
Sent from a device smart enough to send a man to the moon if the battery could last the trip.

Well, my 2002 Hyundai died on me few days ago. I really liked my Hyundai.
I needed a ride, and got me an BMW M3. It was little out of my means, but got it anyways.....

Nice M3! My parents have had several M's and I loved every single one. My Mom sold her 98 M3 recently without letting me know, I would have bought it!
"I had a Hyundai for 10yrs from when they made boring point A to point B utilitarian vehicles. It was a great car & never gave me an ounce of trouble. Now I'm in the market for a new vehicle so I bought a BMW."
lol

I don't understand how that is legally not an SBR.

Thanks for the compliment.
Last M3 dealing was when my mom bought a yellow M3 (at least when our family had little $$) around 99. 3.2L i-6 w/ 240ish HP was awsome.
LOL. yeah. I am more butt hurt about Hyundai dying on me than buying a new car. I put additional coolant before this winter, and it overhead. It was my costly dumbass fault for not checking on my coolant/antifreeze level twice a week.
What pissed me off is, Hyundai doesn't have a warning light when temperature goes hot. It also have that crappy older model Mitsubishi style overflow hose. It is hard to concentrate on temp gauge while driving I25 at 4am.
Good Lawd that m3 is gorgeous. I come from a long line of BMWs in my family. Always wanted an e36 m3. Maybe you can take me for a spin some time? [Beer]

I like mine so much I bought the wife one!
The wife commented that she likes this one better than the old one because the different colored parts help her understand how to open/close it. She commented on how when she looks at my gun, everything is black and she has no idea what is going on. Gives me a good idea for training...

Build her one to her liking. Like my wife's, she picked all the components.

She just needs a bright, pastel colored gun. Morning wing with that, if she trains with it & knows what to do if the time ever came to use it!
Why the cap on the light?
i hate exposed glass...its one of the most vital parts of optic/lights/ect...most think its odd, but i think its worth 10 bucks to protect whatever its on considering you how much time you spend using these things vs the time their in a bag, or just not in use at all.
it also helps keep them clean so when you do need it, you dont have dirt or anything on the lens
Got a cargo net for the car. Now my 72hr bag won't roll all over the place.
