I was thinking of getting a WiFi version of one of those without a screen so that I could link it to a smart phone or tablet.
The one I have just plugs into the phone, so the phone provides the power and the screen.

Received the endoscope today. Overall it's a nice unit. Cord is plenty long, screen is a good size, and it seems to be durable. It doesn't have any internal memory but does have a micro SD slot. However you cannot connect the device to a computer and transfer images/video directly from it. The light has three settings and off. I wish it had a case, I'll probably just keep it in the box.

You must have an android phone, it can’t seem to find one for an iPhone.
I think works with both. I can check on what it is.

Mowing the dry desert grasses around the house is so dusty that dirt clogs the Honda air filter before I'm half done mowing, and any dirt that bypasses eats engines. When the air filter gets clogged it can draw crankcase oil into the carb and kill the engine. So, I asked my small engine guy to build me a snorkel air filter. The lower air filter chamber is sealed and a wet vac attachment and hose lead to a Briggs paper and foam filter up on the handles to keep it out of the dust. It works beautifully.

Dang Hummer,
You could forage dry washes in the wet season with that set up.
I'm stealing that idea. I have that problem. Now, I can fix it. Thanks for posting.
That's great, glad I could help. I've had this idea for a few years but when I had to find another small engine repair shop I ran into the right man. Bill, at BC Small Engine Repair in GJ is a veteran repair guy. He might have thought I was a little nuts for wanting a snorkel air filter but he was with me all the way. We first talked about a water or oil bath filter but it might have been messy. He knew of a lightweight alternative, and he had the hose on hand.
Can i get a part # for that filter? Thanks, we have an acre of the same stuff you do.
It's a Briggs & Stratton 796031 filter. Probably the same item made with other brand names and with different part numbers. It's 3" dia x 5" with 1.5" hole. A tapered vacuum hose adapter, 4"x 1.5" to 1.4" fits the hose to the filter perfectly.
The wet vac attachment is riveted and glued with black silicon to seal to the air filter housing cover. The original filter is too much air restriction so the paper is cut away but the surrounding rubber seal is used. Note, my pic shows the paper cut away but the filter should be reversed horizontally to allow air in from the vac attachment.
The hose is simply zip tied in place. I use a nylon paint strainer bag over the filter to reduce larger dust particles on the filter.
Simply awesome.
Thanks! Ideas and technical know how came together. Somebody could make big bucks on it.....
Here's some detail pics:
A Honda double foam prefilter, and the original paper filter cut out. Reverse it horizontally before installing.

Note the rivets and black silicone. Fit the cover securely as the original.

Kinda like my aluminum canoe that has balloon tires. Wait for desert flooding to ride the washes, then when the water tapers off, just roll the canoe across the desert sands. Right out of Edward Abby.
A fine piece of redneck engineering. When's the article publishing in Popular Mechanics?

Bought this recently (in excellent condition, owned by an older gentleman that took meticulous care of all his tools ... except his heart :(. His widow is a friend of a friend of my mother and she sold it to me for only $600 ... including a snow plow and only about 430 hours on the clock).
Just mowed with it for the first time (this is the first rider I've owned and first lawn I've owned that was big enough for one) and it did a great job ... but I am now jealous of all my neighbors with their ZTR mowers. Although I do think I'm going to want to buy a grass catcher for it.
82475
When I told my friend Justin about it, he said his father just replaced the Cub Cadet he bought in 1977 this year ... so I doubt I'll be getting a ZTR of my own any time soon.
Nice score!
(Sorry for the gentleman that won't need it anymore)
Those ZTR guys will be looking for you to plow their driveways. [Coffee]

I use Rotella in almost everything I own, including motorcycles. I was really excited when they came out with their Gas Engine line so I planned on using it on the other trucks next oil change. Just so happens that Advanced Auto had it on sale for $10.50/5QT, $2.50/QT. It?s Dexos II rated so I bought enough to do six oil changes for my truck and the old lady?s Terrain.

Only played with it this afternoon for a bit and like it's functionality, clarity and display. I have a Leopold that only goes out to 800yds which isn't enough since I've gotten into taking long pokes. I was hitting marks with both to compare yardage readings and both were sync'd up.
Need to read the manual to know what does what.
I looked at Razor HD which is nice but has too many features I'd never use. I prefer simple which is why I didn't give much thought to ones with Bluetooth that input data in the ballistics app in my phone.

I'm sure there's an exception, why isn't that a forward grip? The fact that it's not vertical?

Found this at a bargain price at an antique store in Clarkston, WA. Hand hammered, 14 quart, made in Italy. In the process of cleaning/polishing...more difficult than I thought it would be. The part I've cleaned looks really good.

Hard to best the aroma of roasted chilies. I brought home a bushel of roasted Big Jims from Okagawas in GJ last week, and a half bushel of tomatoes. All in the freezer for the the coming year.
Often we'll roast our own Poblano or Anaheim chilies on the grill but fresh roasted by the bushel from the farm market is easy.

Buying a pre-hung door, interior trim, and drywall tomorrow. Super cool that literally the last people on the property were the painters that just finished painting both the interior and exterior of the house. Fucking liberals.

Bought a property? and/or Buying a prehung door for a property?
Wife's rental. We're trying to get it onto the market. She just paid to have it painted inside and out, have all the holes in the walls fixed, and the first time we go out to see it, and it looks like someone hit the door frame with a vehicle.
Oh thats nasty man. You're right in the fact it looks like.someome nailed it with a vehicle, i couldn't imagine what elese would split the frame like that. I would be callimg up your "painters" if they were the last ones out there and saying wtf!? And bring up the drips and over sprays as well. Wow...just f#%$@g wow
I don't think it was the painters, they really treated my wife well. The floor was already toast so no need for drop clothes. They did the inside and outside, including trim repair, for about 2/3 the cost to just plain the exterior. This was a good match for this type of property.
Anyway, later the neighbor found tire tracks going from inside their lawn, or over the side walk, and over a 4' tall pile of concrete chunks where they left a factory fog light and housing from a plastic bumper. The painter's truck had a ladder rack that wouldn't have fit under the low porch.
No matter how it happened, it's still going to cost me whatever time and money it takes to fix it.
Dude thats some crap, sorry man!

No insurance to get it fixed?
I can fix it myself for less than the deductible (even paying a buddy to do the framing faster than I could). Filing a claim would be unwise for something like this.

I'll have to get a better photo, with less cluttered background, later. That's a Savage 110 Ultralight in 6.5 Creedmoor with my OSS Helix 7.62 QD can attached. In the pictured configuration I weighed it right at 9 lbs. On the way to the store to look at possible bi-pod options. The can really makes it front heavy and long, which I expected. Hopefully it's not too cumbersome to carry once I get a sling on it.

The stock is pretty flexible, so I'm not sure how a bi-pod will affect the accuracy. Honestly, I don't think I'm good enough with a rifle to tell the difference. I'm sighting it in tomorrow.
Even if it is free floating, some stock does touch important areas upon firing. As long as stock is not touching the barrel while projectile is moving. Also both area which are screwed cannot be flexing. Reaction of the force is flexing the stock enough to change, move inconsistently can be bad.
Many good stocks/chassis do not need some kinda new bedding. Last time I've heard the word re-bedding was around 2007.
Btw. Those Remington 700 aac SD hogue stocks are one of the stock which does things above.
(From my limited knowledge)
I can press the stock into the barrel with a finger, so it's pretty flexible.
Well for hunting, it is not bad. As for Precision, chassis or redneck engineering may be needed.
I had savage 110 .243 with factory flemsy syn stock. Top 2 grouping per range visit was about 1 moa (not avg grouping).
Scope was cheap $40 bushnell 3-9x.
I had a lot of fun shooting that thing.

I don't know if you already have something, and they're a little pricey for what they are, but I enjoyed using this sling on my silenced Rem 700 .308Win last year after a couple not so great "slippers."
Viking Tactics VTAC PES Ultra Light Sling (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BN5Q1BW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)
Thanks, I just bought a sling a few hours ago. I like the Hush stalker I already have, and bought something similar for my new rifle. On those rubber slings, I slice a slit in a thin spot and put a shotgun primer in there (for muzzleloader) and they've stayed for years now.
RE scope height above bore:
Measure Objective @Blue circle/2
Barrel (measure across pink circle)/2
gap (Orange lines)
Add them up and there's your height above bore. Easy way to measure center of bore (pink circle) to center of scope reticle (blue circle) needed for ballistics calculations.
Example:
46/2 = 23
30/2 = 15
Gap = 14
Height above bore = 5.2cm = 2.05in.

Also useful for home defense...against flickers. Damn birds are smart enough to know if I just walk outside a white ball of pain will be heading their way; don't even have to draw anymore. Never actually hit one but have been close and it makes a good noise against the wood siding.

Nice find. The SIG P365 is super little gun. I put a few hundred rounds through one at the range recently. Flawless. And easier on the hand than the G27. It prompted me to get a Kimber Micro 9 which has also worked flawlessly. Great carry guns.

Although to be honest, I'm probably going to wait until the Steyr M9 A2 MFs hit the market and just get that (I'm buying these to retire my Steyr M40 and S40 so...)

So I've had this P365 in a Stealthgear Ventcore on all day and I can say without equivocation that this is hands down, the most comfortable rig I've ever worn.
Still at the top of my short list...
I have a P320 I rarely shoot and never carry, I'd prefer a P365 instead. I want a SAS but don't like the sights on them.
They has a SAS in the case at Murdochs in Parker a couple days ago. It might still be there. They had a pretty good selection (considering) compared to other places. They didn't have any common caliber ammo, though.
Mostly I prefer to be the small business, but when I can, I like to support them as well. Got my smoking rub covered for a while. Glad to pay this time around.

Its an ender 3 and I got the files from ctrlpew.com. uses PLA.
I'm printing a different version now that uses a U-bolt for reinforcement
I had a reminder to check a backorder and while looking around again, I got lucky and tripped across these @Midway. Limit of 3. By the time I got around to creating a "wife" account, they were OOS again.

But you get what you pay for @$599.
Many months (and dollars) in the making now. While it's not complete (and may never be) it's probably about 90% or so and offers plenty of options for misery/personal improvement.

Correct and a good used or newer mill. Runs about that same price. Only faster delivery, with no deposit.

Haha... you should see the area blocked by the rack in that photo where they all terminate. It would make your skin crawl. That section along the wall is no big deal since the framing would be out in front of it so in the interest of time (they let us in after framing but due to a scheduling conflict we had like a day to run thousands of feet of network, RG6 & speaker wire) we chose to just let it dangle. Sort of adds character to the place if you ask me. lol

I was debating adding a few flags instead that would cover most of that spaghetti until I decide to frame it in.
I've found in life that it's nice to have small pieces of controlled chaos to help keep the balance and prevent you from trying to make absolutely everything around you perfect or at least thinking you can and stressing over not achieving perfection.
....that or I'm just lazy.

Well, it wasn't cheap but we're recouping the initial investment at ~$250/month in Crossfit membership savings. We've already chopped a couple of grand off of the total in monthly savings so we're getting fair chunks of it back based on that. On top of that, I'm sure we'll really appreciate having a home gym once the snow starts flying and the temps drop here in the next few weeks. Then there's also the thing you mentioned about valuation of your health which is a nice place holder until we can recoup all of our initial investment over several years. It wasn't a small investment and it's been a lot of effort acquiring everything and setting it all up but I can't think of many other things I can invest that same money in that would provide a better ROI long-term.
I see their showroom is closed to the public and most of the equipment is OOS. How did you go about purchasing from them? I have an OLD late 90's 24 hour sport membership that is only $50/year, but with the COVID, most of the sport gyms have closed. I have access to a small gym, but lately i've been itching to get my own setup at home. So i figure it's time to get this garage gym into gear.
I'll take any advice you can give. TIA.

Very carefully. ;)
No but seriously, nothing is ever in stock and it's been the same way there and everywhere since the start of the year. You just have to keep refreshing and when something you want comes in stock buy it immediately. Don't hesitate because it will be gone within seconds. Don't ask me how I know. Make a list of what you want and then check regularly and commit to buying in your head before it comes in stock. That way, when it does, you don't hesitate to consider. Just pull the trigger.
It's a really good deal if you do local pickup and will save you a TON over shipping from places like Rogue, Titan, et al. Just stack up the orders and then once you get all you want and are ready to make a trip to pick it up just use their link to schedule the pickup. They'll pull all of the orders so you can pick them all up at once. Pretty simple really.
COVID19 closing all of the gyms clear back in March was our motivation. Fortunately, we already had a Rogue Echo Bike from a couple of years ago and the Concept 2 rower I lucked out on a few months ago when Rogue got one in stock. I didn't want to pay shipping but 1) it wasn't that bad and 2) I wasn't going to wait another 6-months for someone else local to get one in. We really needed two cardio machines to make this setup work for the wife and I. We modify workouts w/ running in them for the cardio machines and rotate who uses what between different workouts. Today was a 5-round workout that had 400m rows starting off each round so the wife rowed a 500m and I biked 1,000m each round. Works great. Yesterday she had the bike and I had the rower. We alternate machines for the warm-up so you get a different modality each time you do cardio. Once the weather warms back up again (we workout at like 5:00am) we'll take some equipment up to the garage and run for cardio.
We definitely picked the worst time in history to try to build our own home gym but it's been worth it so far. We really love having our own spot and finally found another excuse to not finish out our basement that we've been threatening to finish for 15 years now. lol
Who'd you have move the weights in for you ;)
We treated it like warmups each time we needed to move stuff to the basement since the original plan was to set it up in the garage. Just moving those mats was a chore since they're 4ft x 6ft and 100lbs each. Every couple of weeks we'd go load up the car in Denver, bring it home, unload to the garage and then (eventually) down to the basement. Then... assembly. Some of that stuff is a real bear to assemble as it's quite large & heavy with some serious hardware. The power rack in the middle uses 1" dia. hardware that has 36mm heads on it! Pretty serious stuff. I managed to shatter one of my 1/2 impact adapters at one point during a freak accident that almost claimed my left trigger finger. Wife said I needed stitches after looking at it. I was like "Nah, I'm good" but probably would have taken her up on it if it were my right trigger finger. lulz
You'd think I'd be stronger and have better cardio with all of the effort it took to set this thing up... and you'd be wrong. Haha

I have been kicking the tires on the KTM 690 Enduro R platform for a few years now. 2019 saw some significant changes. A second counter balancer on the engine to help with engine vibration, a little larger gas tank, shiftless transmission, higher end suspension. They are kind of hard to find with dealers getting just a few each year. This one is a 2020 with just over 600 miles on it. Kind of late in the year for something with two wheels but I will be busy accessorizing it this winter as funds allow. It is a real hoot to ride ! [rockon]

Yeppers. A couple of tapered pulleys that expand to create the "perfect" gear ratio at any speed.
HATE the design on my side-by-side, but for smaller vehicles, they work pretty good.
