Let's hope not. Did my first "starting strength" workout last night. The numbers are sad, the body is sore and there is lots of room for improvement. But I dont have to wait for the weights and can't use the excuse that the gym is across town and the roads are icy....

Stick with it, don't miss a workout and you'll be amazed how quickly things get legitimately heavy.

High country was closing out it for $215 which I thought was a pretty nice price!

I don't think it was even 30 minutes after I bought it, I was driving on deer creek canyon and used the snatch strap to pull an old Cherokee out of the snow.

Still testing out the new rig. Ready to go with some more experienced jeepers on some trails. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/12/27/73080d2e02f1e46dc1aef806574fa35f.jpg

I think in going to list it for $3k OBO.

I looked up the blue book and the worst condition for the year and model was still $2500. I think the rhino lining, year old duratracs, and the fact I've stayed ahead on parts replacement make it a pretty good price.

Thanks man, I'm itching to get that rear add a leaf installed, unfortunately I don't have all the necessary tools to complete the job so I'm waiting on a buddy to let me use his lol.

I'll snap some pics when the weather is a bit better. But i have 2.5" SAW coilovers, AAL's in the back (i recommend full leaf packs), front bumper, sliders, 265/75 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, and some other odds and ends. Also have a rear topper (canopy or whatever you want to call them). It's an awsome truck, bought it in 2007 with 35K on it and i have 93K on it now, it's a 2004 so i'm doing well! I haven't been wheeling in awhile, but i love Moab and snow wheeling if you're ever interested! I noticed your name after that post, we met that one time on a deal if you don't remember me. We chilled in my basement and my buddy was the DPD fella. I've moved since then, but i'm still in Thornton, not far from the old pad if you ever want to put a few back!

I ordered these at the end of September and they finally arrived this weekend. These boots are custom built Wesco Jobmaster boots. The boot smith took nine different measurements on each foot, and everything from the two tone rough out leather to the color of the Kevlar stitching to the heel height is all custom.

The new AR, picked it up last week from Kentucky Gun Co. Got the fail to extract issue worked out with a little chamber polishing as suggested by Kazoo, now at about 140 rounds without any malfunction. Going to switch out the riser on the TRS-25 to give me full co-witness instead of the 1/3 co-witness it's got now. I have a hard time finding the front sight down at the bottom of the red dot tube.

And fedex guy also brought me a present today to go with the new gun:

It looks good. I bought it on a whim just because I had the lowers sitting around. The gas key seems to be staked well, to me, and nothing else has caught my eye. The fit and finish are fine.
I will try to throw the upper on something and shoot it soon. I'm not in a hurry to assemble the lower half as another pistol will come first but everything is there. I probably should have bought some pistol parts instead.[facepalm]
It shipped pretty quick considering some of the PSA stories I had read.

We needed new optics so I got the Bushnell Elite ED 10x42 and the Vortex Razor HD 10x42. Both well built with very nice views. Have spent some time comparing them and I can't tell any difference in them re brightness, clarity and contrast. The Elite is the top model in the Bushnell & Bausch & Lomb lines.

This is my third pair of Elites (1987, 2003 & 2015). The new model is even brighter with larger glass and better lens coatings but also has larger barrels. The Vortex fits my hand better (stubby fingers) so I'd like to sell the Elite and pick up another Razor.

Added another GPS to the stable, a Garmin Montana 650T. It's kind of a hybrid upgrade to the souped up Nuvi and the Colorado 400T pictured. It doubles as a road navigator and as a detailed topo unit suitable for hunting and backcountry navigation. It has a touchscreen with rapid re acquire of position and audible turn by turn directions. This one has the 100K topo worldwide base map, a 24K topo hunting map for Colorado, the City Navigator North America NT, and NavSat maps for Central America. Also has a 5 mb camera for stills and video.

Thanks man! I was looking for a BCM as that's the brand I've owned most, but I've always heard good things about Daniel Defense, and a member offered this one at a price I couldn't pass up. This rifle is 300BO, but I've got the same upper in 5.56 in the mail, in case 300 doesn't work out for me ($$).

Nice, good choice. I'd buy either brand without even thinking about it, but since DD rifles are pretty well set up from the factory, they've always been a bit out of my price range. I typically buy a base rifle and build it as funds allow. I couldn't have gotten a base BCM for what I paid for the DD.

Yep, something along those lines was what I was thinking. The shaker siphon gets most of the gas out pretty well once you get the hang of it, but there's always a little left in the very bottom that's annoying. But given it's gas, I was being a little more cautious than usual. Wanted to see someone else mess with the gas tank first... LOL. :)

My rear bumper actually has water tanks built in to it too. I didn't see it myself but supposedly some guy mixed margaritas in his tank (same bumper) and then poured them out at the end of the trail. All the bouncing around was great for stirring it up, and with the ice he dumped in, it kept them cold.

No, let's just say since I'll be working an extra ten years of my life, I wanted to buy a couple things to make me feel better about it. I'll let you guys put 2 and 2 together.

Besides, this bike didn't even cost what some folks around here spend on scopes lol.

I picked up the regular Charge two weeks ago. I'm on my second one and having syncing issues with the new one. I guess there's a firmware issue with android 4.4.3 and higher. The only issue I've ever had was them opening the case to look after scanning it because I had so many boxes stacked together.

Pretty sure the airline sets the amount of ammunition policy so if you're thinking about bringing 200+ rounds, you might check with them. United technically limits you to 11 pounds of ammo.

FWIW, I always flag my guns and have never had to show empty chambers if they see the chamber flag.

I stand corrected. Did it change in th least few years? I seem to remember last time I flew with a firearm I needed to have the ammo in a separate checked bag from the firearm. Maybe it was the specific airline policy. My apologizes.

Yes it can, there can be no ammo in the mags or firearm.

Also only partly true. No ammo loaded in the firearm. I've flown a couple of dozen times with mags loaded w/ammo and then I put the mags in a Fobus paddle holster and then the whole thing goes in the locked hard case that also houses the firearms. Print the page from the TSA, keep it in your pocket and be confident of what you're doing and nobody will question your actions or motives. Never had an issue and half of the time I'm telling the person checking them in how to do their job. Politely of course.

I pretty frequently will use the locks that come with the firearms to lock the slide open in the box and find that it tends to go a little bit smoother when I do this. May just be perception though as I've never really had an issue.

No, it's been this way since the TSA started being the TSA as things have only got more strict since 9/11 but they really haven't changed as far as firearms are concerned since then aside from a very brief period where you were unable to travel with firearms at all until they squared away the new policy regarding them.

Maybe a decade ago. Been flying with firearms since 2002 .

Wasn't that when you turned 18 and went on your first cross-country travel all by yourself?

Print the page from the TSA, keep it in your pocket and be confident of what you're doing and nobody will question your actions or motives. Never had an issue and half of the time I'm telling the person checking them in how to do their job. Politely of course.

TSA and the Ticket counter folks seem to have conflicting ideas on what is and what is not allowed. I prefer to limit my interaction with either entity to a minimum. Hence No ammo in mags. Even with paperwork in hand, one or the other will still go UMMM I need to check with my Supervisor. Dicking around for 20 - 30 min while their "superior" who has no clue either is enroute, IMO isn't worth the hassle.

They read the info / reg then shrug their shoulders before walking off. Oh yeah it is leagl, but i've spent needless time with amateurs.

LOL! I'm going to pack it exactly as shown in my pics, seems like the safest most hassle free bet to me.

Wasn't that when you turned 18 and went on your first cross-country travel all by yourself?
Clearly, you've never met GK! [LOL]

That's a beauty. I wish I had the free time to actually enjoy one of these. I'll have to settle for my little ATV.

My latest purchase is my 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 High Lifter Edition...

It still needs some paint and some sawhorse hardware. Looking forward to my next trip to Pawnee.

Yea, I'm gonna repurpose some rubber hose from work for straps and grab some spare fasteners. I figure my first shot might do the same.

don't do that!! it will be illegal to fly with guns in no time if you give them a chance to change their mind.

$%^&* there's a gun owner on another site who has some good ideas regarding washers and or cones one could use in a suppressor. Of course they need to be drilled to size and possibly turned for proper fit. YET he doesn't want to make anything until he receives an OK from the ATF. IT'S A FLAT FUKIN WASHER, ACE or your local hardware store sells. HE WANTS a letter saying it's ok before he proceeds. FMB
