Miata? Do they make that in men's?
Lol
Miata? Do they make that in men's?
I really do wonder why people think a Miata is a women's car? Because it's small?

Yes.
The same reason people think that F1 cars are women's cars.
The same reason people think that F1 cars are women's cars.
That's why Danica Patrick is racing F1 now.

No, because it sounds like "Vagina."

This is the site where real men drive full size, crew cab, lifted trucks don't you know? The more your truck can tow the more testosterone you have. Get with the program.

Friend hooked me up on this, it is just a BCM 14.5 Socom barrel, DD RIS ii handguard, surefire 212a. Brand new. I miss those days when BCM includes BCG for free with their upper.

I understand why the men who loved this gun said they hated carrying it, after shooting it at 100+ yards you get the understanding why it is described as the best battle rifle ever by some.

8+ lbs can wear on one. They are a fine piece of craftsmanship. The ones i owned were converted to 308. Except the factory S/Armory marked Tanker.
Had this for a couple weeks but haven't been able to play with it yet

Really neat gun, excited to shoot it.
Ordered this guy before the hysteria sets in. I've been wanting to do a non-suppressed SBR so did a 12.5" upper. Little less muzzle flash and added velocity since I dont have to account for a can hanging on the end.

Just ordered up a PSA 10.5" 223/556 Freedom Upper. I liked the long rail that partially covers the flash can.

Also found a deal on a shockwave blade and the kak buffer tube.
Anyone got an H2 buffer for sale? Or know a local shop that has some in stock?

Yes. My wife doesn't like using an axe or hatchet to make kindling. With this she can just use a 2.5lbs hammer.
That's exactly what it looks like. That's pretty cool. I've never seen such a thing before.

Their marketing line is that it was invented by a young girl in New Zealand that watched her mom mangle her hand while making kindling with a hatchet. I don't know if it's true or not but it works like a charm as long as the rough split wood fits in the ring. Kindling Cracker / $90 at Northern Tool.

It'll keep the honest people honest.
And it's a whole lot less hassle to move than any TL15/TL30. (I can't complain, Opie and his father do a fantastic job!)

It's got a couple of holes on the base to mount if desired. We use it outside on a stump but store it inside. I haven't used it on the bricks.

Went to costco to check out a slightly newer model (E55-E1) which they have on their early black friday sale for $460.
Saw the older model (E55u-D0) for $400, but they were out of them, and won't be getting more because of the newer model.
They still had the floor model of the old one, and they gave it to me for $300. Still has costco's 90 day return policy, and a full 2 year warranty.
I had been planning to find an older 1080p model but probably wouldn't be much cheaper than this one.

Always cool stuff showing up in this thread! And I learn from every post. What a great and varied group of folks we have here!
Our latest are two Galaxy S7 units and the rebates mostly paid for a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. It's a hybrid laptop/tablet. Nifty unit!
We saved ~$150/mo on the new 20 GB plan over the previous 12GB. Maybe we should play the game more often.
Sucks to be techno illiterate. Sucks to be old too, but I manage to swim to the surface. ;>)

Those are really cool looking.

Worse is when you surf on your back with the unit overhead. Doze off and it smacks face forward, bleeding included. I'll always hate that GD Ipad. The surface pro must weigh twice as much. Oh lordy, I have to change my habits.

The Surface Pro keyboard in granite is good camo, even on our white carpet. The back side is soft and furry like suede. Sexy stuff.

I don't think much bigger than that. My son is the herp enthusiast. I'm mostly just the checkbook. The yellow one is funny. Likes to watch tv and kicks her leg like a dog when you scratch under her chin.

If it's mechanically sound you made a good choice for winter.
If it's mechanically sound you made a good choice for winter.
The chassis is sound, the drivetrain is in decent shape, but it's got some issues. Still, it should be a fine replacement when the snow is too deep for the MX-5.
Bought a set of Blizzak WS80.
Ouch.
Would have preferred something more sporty like the LM32 but they don't make them in the right size.
P.S. Anyone need three 50% 235/45R17 Dunlop 3D snows?

I have a couple lincolns. I have the 256, it works very well for me.
I'm very happy with it.
I borrowed my buddies 255xt (pictured) and a Miller 252 from another close friend, and decided on the Lincoln after welding a bunch of stuff. The price of the Lincoln was also better, but that was less of a concern. The 256 seems better built, and since there was no major difference in welds, I chose it.
First project, some new "saw horses" for all the welding projects that we have going currently.

Built my first and second AR-15 lowers. Bought the lowers from Centennial years ago after joining their club. Recently purchased two LaRue MBT triggers, RAT stock, grips and buffer tubes when they were on sale. Got two CMMG lower parts kit from Cabelas with my points.
Neighbor and youtube helped me assemble. Only problem I had was the trigger wells on both lowers had a slight bulge on one side and had to be filed out a bit so the trigger would not stick. Can't wait until I can get a couple of uppers to go on them. I want to build short barrels with supressors on each, one for me and one for the wife.
Was fun learning process.

It has a very nice, double action only trigger (maybe better than most revolvers out there) but isn't limited in capacity like a wheel gun and I can reload it quicker than a revolver as well.
Hopefully it doesn't disappoint when the day comes I actually get to put some rounds through it some time next year.

My first lower(s) complete build.
I purchased the lowers from Centennial years ago and they have sat in my safe.
I got two MBT triggers from LaRue when they had a sale last year. They just had a sale on their RAT stocks so I purchased with the buffer tube, cleaning kit and their grip.
The lower parts were CMMG from Cabelas that I got with my card points.
Youtube videos and neighbor helped with the build. Only problem I had was the trigger hole in both the lowers had a slight imperfection on one side that prevented the trigger from working when pinned in. Just needed some filing to open the hole and that did the trick.
Placed my upper and all seemed to work. Next need some test firing. After that it is time for some uppers. Not sure if one or both will get Tim's attention for short barrels and suppressors.
Was a great learning experience and I know a lot more about the workings of my firearms.

Since we're finally receiving snow, it seemed appropriate to post this. I picked up this bad boy via the classifieds section of the Nextdoor app.

I really wanted a 2-stage and I really wanted a Honda, but I wasn't willing to spend $2100 on a snowblower that may or may not even be used in any given winter. I had resigned myself to finding a neighborhood kid to shovel when this bad boy popped up in the classifieds on Nextdoor. Ended up buying it for less than what a much smaller single stage unit currently sells for at Home Depot.
Bring on the snow!

Blame this snow on us then because I just replaced my 10-year-old plug-in Toro PowerCurve 1800 with this rechargeable sucker this week:
68268
Assembled it a few days ago and threw the battery on the charger. Didn't have to wait long to test it out and the maiden voyage was great. No more cord to mess with and it worked flawlessly albeit on a paltry amount of snow but it was wet and several inches & it handled it w/o so much as a hiccup so it was a decent enough test to know that it's going to meet my needs just fine. Time to get the old plug in unit up on Craigslist and make it someone else's problem! lol
Sure the 50 is big enough for those fowl ISIS targets?

They are Yaktrax Icetrekkers Diamond Grip cleats. https://www.rei.com/product/806475/yaktrax-icetrekkers-diamond-grip-traction-system
The ones in the pic are the XL size on my wife's size 9 Sorels. They also fit on my size 11 Danner Pronghorn boots. Haven't tried them on my Sorels yet.
They look like they fit much better than the cheaper versions I have. I have some Yaktraks as well and they are much better.
I also picked up some cheaper ones from tirechain.com. The rubber straps aren't nearly as thick and sturdy as the Yaktrax, and the chain links are a lighter gauge steel. Maybe okay to keep in the vehicle for an unanticipated situation.
I picked up some from Walmart with the same idea. They've been sitting in vehicles, out of the sun, for a few years now. I took a look at them the other day and the plastic is worn thin and ready to break. A few minutes on a shoe and I think they'll break. I've only tried them on in the house. The lesson learned is the same one as always; while $6 per pair is cheap, you get what you pay for.

Thanks for looking out for me but I have it handled. The only problem I have? I don't have the right rifle for the bayonet, I am trying to rectify that now. Happy New Year! [Beer]
Looks like a dangerous combination. I can fix that for ya friend, pm me for my shipping address. [Beer]
Looks like I'll be buying tires

Also interested. We still have $10 worth of basic cable (including HBO, somehow) because it's cheaper as a package deal with the internet.
Comcast for internet only $69. Google Wifi wireless, MiBox to stream and a Clearstream V4 in the attic.
